Good day all~~
I hope your weekend gave you some fun and/or rest and more. I over did it by a bunch but it's hard to say 'No' to grandkids who just want to come over and play, and eat, and visit, and eat and chat, and did I mention EAT?!...
Those little ones can clean a cupboard faster than a battalion of Marines! I was hoping to get some 'Me' time in but oh well...that time will come.
Speaking of 'Me' time...do YOU make some 'Me' time on a regular basis??? HUH??? Ya, me neither but I should do it more. And if you did make this magical 'Me' time what would you do with it? How about
a hobby? For me it's how I relax and I enjoy making things for people. For me it's quilts and sometimes a few other items, but mostly cuddly blankets for them to hopefully keep for generations.
Do you have a hobby for that 'Me' time? Did you used to have one? Would you like to try something new? Have you given up because you just 'can't do it anymore'? Well, my hobby used to be plants...so much so that I turned it into a business. Yes, I did have to give it up but that didn't stop me from carrying on with my sewing. I do a little scrap booking and volunteering (like you didn't already know that...lol)
What hobby do you have or what one would you like to try or get back into?

I get me time every time my kids go to school, and I love volunteering for casa (I'm an advocate for children who have been abused and/or neglected) and I absoutly love it, cause these children really have no voice in what happens to them in the outcome and I'm their voice. But besides that, I also help out my best friend who 61 years old and is disabled and also has severe pain and depression and I check up on her quite often to make sure she has her needs, but other then that, I sit at home with my pets, usually napping or watching movies til my kids get home in the afternoon. So I guess I get quite alot of me time, and I enjoy every second of it, but I also enjoy my children, but God knows I need my time to myself with 2 children who are always climbing up the walls.

I think I have to much "me time" I am home alone most all the time now, one of my favorite hobbies was sculpture, wood, stone, mostly, ceramic clay, I have pictures of some of my sculpture pieces displayed on my page on facebook. Anyway there was always something relaxing and gratifying about
chipping away on wood or stone to reveal what you mind had put in that block of stone or wood! I can hold my arms out ( they get weak) and do that kind of thing any more causes to much pain and muscle spasms!

Ah, White Beard I didn't know you were an artist. I love to draw, lose myself in the mark making, the thrill of capturing some sort of essence of life. I hardly ever get the time to make art anymore. But if I had me time, thats what I'd do.
