It's Friday so that at least has to be good on it's own. Often it means going out with someone you love or a fun time with 'the girls'. Maybe it's your quiet night...starting to wind down and relax for tomorrow you get to sleep in. Maybe all days of the week are the same to you but even if you don't work, there is something about Fridays. turn

So, think back to when you were...say 14-18 or so. What did YOU used to do on Friday nights??? idea Football games at school? Dates? Drive in movies? (Yep, a few do still exist in our area) Or did you do things you wouldn't tell your parents about, not even 30 years later...lol smhair smhair

My Fridays were often boring. I was in a girl's service group at school so I was on duty at sports activites selling tickets, handing out programs, etc. As I turned 16 I would also work at Dairy Queen when not at a school activity. Occasionally I dated but those were more like family type dates....over to his house to watch TV with his folks. (Ya, that was my EX~) I wasn't allowed to go to drive-in's but that's another story...smilewinkgrin I wasn't into cruising or carousing. My brother did all of that stuff and was always in trouble and/or grounded. I just couldn't do that to my parents so I behaved myself. It was a fun time tho and I loved it.

So...what did you used to do on Friday Nights???

Chutzie and friends, That was many moons ago and I am glad that I never have to go back and repeat those years. My family situation was not good and I was a drug addict and alcoholic before 18. My older sister married a outlaw biker and they accepted me and I filled the hole left without family with all the wrong things. I moved out in my car when I was 16 and I did not care what my parents knew or didn't know. Friday nights now are much better. Now it is pizza night at our house and even though all my kids are over 18, some show up and we have alittle family time. So much better.

Friday night in the fall was High school Football games and then a sockhop afterward in the gym or cafeteria after the game. Oh yea the drive inn, they would have an attendant walk around with a flshlight and if the windows were steamed up and they couldn't see your head above the top of the seats, they would flash the light in to see what was going on and try and open the door and tell you to straighten up or they would kick you out!
We have a drive in about 15 miles away and now you use your car radio to get the sound. It does a heck of a business, but it is is mostly older people that go to it! Go Figure!
