Waahooooo , I’m BBQing tonight…my dad's favorite steak, rib eye. Oh man could dad pick them. We raised our own beef and it was the best going. So, since I'm doing the cooking how would you like your steak done?? Barely warm, rare, medium rare, medium, well done or burnt beyond recognition…lol? And what would you like served with that choice, rib eye steak?

Plus, you guys supplying the desert so let me know what you are bringing. See you at the party tonight...

Uh-oh. Here we go with the food again! rolleyes

Ok, I'll have my steak medium rare, thank you. A little steak rub would be great, but no sauce! How about some onions and mushrooms in some butter, heated on the grill. A plump baked potato. Just for health sake, a great spinach salad with real bacon. A loaf of homemade garlic bread we can break together and share.

And for dessert, I'm bringing a homemade NYstyle cheesecake. And I'll also make a fresh blueberry pie. How's that sound? turn

I have utmost faith this group will have a feast before the night's through! yeah

Thank you, Chutzie! yeah

Hey can I just have a plate of what PaLady is having??

I love my steak med well, with just a little pink in the middle. I love baked potato too and a salad with ranch dressing; lots of ranch dressing. Oh and only butter on the baked potato.

For dessert, I will make a yellow bundt cake with chocolate icing, my personal favorite. And maybe, just maybe, a plate of brownies too. I love baking. Haven't done much of it lately, but I used to bake something two or three times a week. Every day at Christmas time.

So don't forget to save me a seat. I'll be there with bells on.

Chutz,

You are cooking my FAVORITE dinner, I'm on my way.....I like mine medium rare, baked potatoe with sour cream, chives and a little dill, nice big leafy green salad with radishes,red/yellow peppers, cucumbers, carrots, green onion with homemade italian dressing...yum!

I will make a jello cake, (chocolate with Cherry jello) (you poke holes in the cake and pour jello over the top and it soaks through), the icing will be made with Dream whip and vanilla pudding! Light and fluffy not too sweet!

I am starving!!!

I like mine well done, brown all the way through with the outside blackened in a crisscut like God intended it.

Baked potato done just JUST right, with butter, sour cream and chives.

And since there just ain't nothing better, for dessert I'll have another baked potato cooked exactly like, and dressed exactly like, the first one.
(If this is a community dessert thing, I'll bring 5 gallons of Dreyer's chocolate/peanut butter ice cream)

Man is this making me hungry. If I thought my wife wouldn't mind I'd head for the store to get the fixings. Except our steaks would be filet mignon, which we bbq at least once a month in the summertime.

Oh, man! I love steak! I like mine well done, no pink for me! Ick! I think I'll have a nice baked potato or mashed potatoes with it, some asparagus, steamed carrots, and a nice salad. Or maybe some fresh corn on the cob if it is in season. yum! smilewinkgrin

I almost forgot dessert! Chocolate cake, with lots of rich, creamy, chocolate frosting! Mmmm!

You guys are making me so hungry!

Every newsgroup/forum I've ever been on has always been very light posting on Fridays, generally.

Tony,
I was referring to the history of a lot of members when it comes to a thread dealing with food. We generally have trouble setting limits in that area! Doesn't matter what day of the week. But I think a lot of regular members are probably busy for the holiday weekend. Still, I've not seem some post in awhile so it's probably some people are having pain flares, too.
