Hi! I think Chutzie is "on holiday" as the saying goes, and I thought I'd toss out a Koffee Klatch topic for us until she gets back!

A lot of times we mention wouldn't it be nice if some of us lived closer. So.... idea what if we all lived in the same neighborhood? Sort of our own Wisteria Lane? What kinds of things would you imagine we'd do together, or for/with eachother?

I would imagine us having big neighborhood cook outs on holidays weekends like this, but sharing all the work, and understanding we may come for a bit, go home and rest, and return and no one would bat an eye! yeah
It would be a pot luck, and we'd have a little area with picnic tables (with soft benches!) and other types of seating for comfort, and grills to cook the meat so no one would have to clean their house before or after! wink Some of us might even show up in slippers and jammies! Dragging the wires from our TENS units, heat or ice packs, and a portable pill container! shocked But we'd have a ball. And no one would need to explain CP to anyone!

What activities or other things (doesn't have to be anything fancy!) would you think we'd do if we all lived close by?

PaLady ------> substitute, awaiting Chutzie's return! smilewinkgrin

This is so GREAT you are making me laugh my butt off......LOL

I think we all would be cooking out, getting fat, playing card games and letting each other cry on our shoulders when the **** gets bad.

I could just imagine the pranks we would play on each other in the middle of the night for some of us can't sleep...

PAlady thank you for taking the rains on this one...LOL

Laurie

Of ya we can all play with all these pets we keep talking about!!!!!

Glueing your paper to the ground, putting your garbage cans in someone elses driveway lets say in WhiteBeards. Swapping out the house numbers on the door for example exchange your with Father Johns and see how long it takes you two to notice.

The list can go on and on..lol

Late night movie parties! When we are all kept awake from our p.... (can't say it here! since there is no mention of the p word allowed!) we can go crash at each other's houses, in our pj's, with nice soft comfy blankets & pillows, and heating pads, and ice, and outlets for those tens units, and watch fun movies or tv until we all crash out of sheer exhaustion! Or we might draw funny faces on those of us that crash if we are still up because of our p..... smilewinkgrin

Looks like I will have to be on Garbage Can Patrol! smilewinkgrin I think it would be great if we all lived in the same area! I would have my family all close by! And we really could help each other! Like going to appointments with each other when you need to have somebody to be able to drive you home! We could take turns, so no one would have to worry about having to get some one to go along with them! And yes when one of us is up late with unbearable pain, misery loves company, and I am sure we would not be alone! after all skeye will be there to draw funny faces on us if we fall asleep! wink    We could have Pot Luck suppers, and PALady could bring all kinds of Italian  pasta dishes! I just see endless posibilities! yeah

smilewinkgrin  What a way to laugh after a long 8 hour shift. I would come visit in my pajamas with my hair sticking straight up on end, that would be a prank on itself. turn My door would always be open for anyone who needed to cry, laugh, or vent in anger. I would probably be the one toilet papering trees or stuffing depends in mailboxes. It would be a good support system.

I like this topic. Thanks PaLady.

I would most certainly bring my electric wheelchair so I could stay a long time. I would need this chair to sit in while I bar b qued too. I can't stand.

I would spend my whole time socializing with everyone and finally putting a face to all the names and getting to know my hw family up close and personal. That's one of the things I miss the most is being able to go out and do things and be with some friends.

I have been dreaming of food all night in my sleep, so I would also bring my healthy appetite too !!!

Just love this topic!!

God's blessings to all on this Memorial Day weekend!!

I'd share my new vampire book by Charlaine Harris and hey, I'd loan out the True Blood series,
so y'all come and borrow or browse, or even sit and watch all this with me, sure
would be nice if someone could bring over a HD projector TV..I do have HD set up's but my tv's
are small, 26 inch and 28 inch, the kitties slashed the wires on the 37 inch, so I need new cables...
But hey we'd make it a day of watching Vamps.....and playing with my kitties, Chancellor does tricks for
greenies (chicken flavored) and he can jump....
Soft Hugz to all.......

And then in the morning we could all crawl on hands and knees to go home.

Oh, I love these responses! Keep 'em coming until Chutzie gets back to see what she's missing! wink

Now at least some of the pranksters are coming out of the woodwork and I will know if I get a diaper in my mailbox who probably did it!

Chartreux - I'm with you on the vamp stuff! How about you read us "bedtime" stories; since we can't sleep anyway, might as well be spooked! smhair

And now that I think of it we will need a large rec center completely build for our needs. So the large, flat screen TV, HD and all that jazz will be there. With large beds and tons of recliners and pillows and a kitchen off to the side. turn So Char, all you'll have to bring is the TrueBlood DVD's!
(BTW they're starting season 2 in June, but I won't have HBO anymore sad ).

I am SO hungry!!

I think that I would be assinged to do the cooking as always seeing that I am a chef but that is OK I love to cook and I belive I would have some great and easy things for all of us to eat, the thing that would make it a very pleasent expearence would be a hot tub and some good music.

I have a preferance to old southern rock, or old rock in general.  zz top, lynard skynard, george and the satillets,  But then I like Carlos Santana and Joe Saterani (sp).  My husband is a musician so my music is well rounded other than RAP I HATE RAP>>>

Oh, Santana! I love Santana! Saw him in concert once about a few years ago when he started his comeback. But I love a mix of music, too!

I've got the hot tub seats 6 pretty well. All I have to do is get my boyfriend to put the wheels back on my trailer and I'm ready no packing. Where would we all like to land our Utopian society?

Have to be someplace that is not to hot or to cold.  Low allergies and pollen counts.  Not to dry but not to humid.

Dang I guess it will have to be a fantasy community cuz no place is so wonderfful a discribed above.

Sounds like what Goldilocks was looking for! smilewinkgrin

It would probably have to be a fantasy community, OR we'd need to be very mobile, OR we'd need to have more than one location!! I'm up for the latter!

I love the change of seasons, but hate the cold and absolutely NO snow shoveling!!! shocked

Let's make communities all around the world! And we'll have our own private jet (with plenty of leg room and the most comf, ergonomically designed seats imaginable) to transport us wherever we want, whenever we want! yeah

Maybe you could come and visit me in Sydney, we could set the hot tub up with a beautiful view of the harbour with the bridge and Opera House in the background, of course we'd have to have a few prawns to throw on the barbie! I'm good at salads maybe some baked potatos too.
