There are so many beautiful things in our daily lives but sometimes it's just hard to see them. I often have to remind myself to look around at the wonder around me. Any of you remember that song from Sound of Music...My Favorite Things? Let's add a few lines ourselves.... I'll start the song and you all add any favorite things you goes~~

Raindrops on Roses
And whiskers on Kittens
Bright Copper Kettles
And Warm Woolen Mittens

Brown Paper packages
Tied up with Strings...
These are a few of
My favorite things....

OK, remember the song???

Some of my favorite things are...

Feeling my cat purring in my lap
My husband's laugh
The smiles on my grandchildrens faces

Watching my goddaughter grow into a beautiful, capable woman
her life blossom through her education,
her wonderful husband,
their two joyful (and challenging!) children,
her first pet as an adult, a rabbit,
then Birch, their orange tabby, and
Chloe, the yellow lab puppy Santa found on petfinder!

Watching the unique colors of every sunset over Lake Erie.

Flying in an airplane, any size.

Music. I forget how much I love it sometimes.
Dancing....bittersweet memories since I can't do it anymore, so I'll stop here!

In the United States today, there is a pervasive tendency to treat children as adults, and adults as children. The options of children are thus steadily expanded, while those of adults are progressively constricted. The result is unruly children and childish adults. ~Thomas Szasz
