shocked  Well i had to make my forth 911 call just in the past few months. One of the calls for myself the other one for my neighbor . I had to call for a lady on my route i found her in her front yard she had taken a fall and broke both ankles. This last call was the scariest of all.Friday morning i decided to call in on my job due to all the pain i was in i was going to go to my chiro.I was sitting at the computer drinking my coffee before getting dressed and my hubby had went up on top of the house to fix a tarp he's been working on putting on a metal roof.So i'm sitting there and i hear a loud noise on the roof sounded like he was falling. I jumped up and ran to the back door and stuck my head out the door and sure enough i could hear a faint yell.I bolted out the door and around the house to the front yard and as i rounded the corner of the house i saw him laying in the front yard with blood pouring from his nose. I ran to him and he said call someone. Well in my husle out the door i didn't take the time to grab the phone so i told hinm not to move ran back in grabbed the phone and called 911.The fire department emt's and abulance was here within five mins of my call. they got him ready to transport of course i'm still in my pj's so i went inside to change and met them at the er.I'm really thanking god his injuries are only a broken nose and he broke his hip so he's layed up for the next 6 to 8 weeks. Keep him in your prayers as he's healing the dr. said he may still have to have surgery on the hip it's a wait and see how it's healing kind of thing. i'm a little worried because he said he's foot keeps going numb and i'm not sure if thats normal with a broken hip so if any of you know i'd love to hear. I asked him to call his dr. tomorrow and tell him about his foot. I'm having to feed him breakfast before i leave for work in the mornings and i'm making him lunch and putting it in a container in the fridg we have his walker modified with a canvas bag so he can take things with him from room to room .For the most part he's having to lay around and not be up to much. I'm thinking i may have to take a course in cpr if i keep having to call 911.

Oh my gosh! I hope he recovers quickly. I just cant imagine. You must have been so frightened.
I havea  kinda funny 911 tale (joys of being mommy *sigh*)

I woke up, opened up the kitchen and got all breakfeast prepped. But noticed my lazy little bumblebees were still in bed. No problem... Just set food out, work them up on my way to shower saying "Get up and eat breakfeast ladies! Common up up up!"

I hop in the shower, shampooed, put conditioner in when my littlest bumblebee says " mommy my tummy hurt" and proceeds to vomit pink!

Rushed out of shower, scooped up the pink , put it in bagg, called 911

We get her to the hospital, where she has every fire fighter and paramedic worried sick. Nurses are doting over them.. and about 2hours in to the ordeal my oldest daughter says " Mommy, me and rosie ate lollipops this morning for breakfeast, but Im hungry."

" the red ones sweety, big heart ones?"
"ah hua"

We were all relived to find shes just made herself sick with entire bag of lollipops.. most expensive lollipops she will ever have...

And the ER doc is aloso a magician and gave us a delightful show :O)
Firefighters gave them both cutest teddy bears

Children.. HA HA HA

Hi auntkay,

Wow! That must have been terrifying for both you & your husband! I'm very glad to hear that he is okay! No more climbing the roof for him! He is very lucky that you were around to take care of him. A couple of summers ago, this guy in my town was out in the woods building a tree house for his kids & he feel from the tree. No one found him until hours later & he is now a full quad! What a sad story!
I'll keep you & your husband in my prayers! I hope he has a speedy & painless recovery, and that there isn't anything bad going on with his foot!

hugs,
Skeye

Thanks for your prayers, he called his drs. office yesterday and they said the numb foot is from all the swelling in his hip. So that must be par for the course, but he's still in a lot of pain i guess that will ease in time. May everyone have a pfd

Auntkay,
I'm sorry I've not chimed in here. Been dealing with my own stuff this week, but I do want to wish you well - and I hope the swelling goes down for your husband. I hope he follows doctor's orders, whatever they are, because those nerves are tricky!

And maybe you should get some kind of award from the 911 folk?

Hugs,

PaLady
