Good day all~~

If you are new to Healing Well or to our Koffee Klatch, please don't be shy. Jump on in to the daily Koffee Klatch. We take a few minutes out of our day to to chat, have a laugh or maybe an insightful moment but we never use the "P" (pain) word!! We focus on the good things in life because we deserve them! So grab your favorite beverage and join us for some 'Me' time.

What could you do to improve your life? I'm not thinking of the 'P' word or something that's a huge, major change like going back to school...but something small that would make your life easier. I think of great ideas but I not only forget most of them but never quite get around to the ones I DO remember. Oh, gotta love that fog.. smhair

One thing I think about often, that I think would improve my life, is to be more routine or scheduled. When I was able to work I not only had a routine but I got way more done around here than when I'm home all the time. That's just crazy. It's hard to stay focused and also it's hard to remember what I was going to do on Wednesday...know what I mean? I would start to write a list for each day of the week or things I needed to do but that only lasted about 10 days, then back to my old habits. I'm much happier, accomplish more and seem to have more free time for my quilting if I stick with a list and not just 'float'. I have no idea how I'm going to accomplish this but I would like to give it a try again...especially with grandkids out of school. Several live next door and they love to some see grandma a lot or they stop by the house if they're going to hike and play in the woods. It always throws me off again. If anyone has any good suggestions please feel free to share!

What do you think you could do to improve your life? Take up an old hobby? Get in touch with someone you've not heard from in a long time, rearrange the furniture? Maybe hire someone to clean your house once a month? Let's see if we can all help each other with ideas along with sharing our answer...

Chutzie,
Mine is kind of similar to yours. It would be to find the motivation to get my nights and days back to some normalcy. Notice I said find the 'motivation'. because when you're not working and live alone, there's little to stop your bad habits from stretching themselves into a comfort zone!

And if I could add a couple of more:
Win the lotto and/or the jackpot at the casino so I could hire someone to do NUMEROUS repair jobs at my house!!

And then, I'd get a cat! :-)

Maybe I'll get the cat first... smilewinkgrin

PAlady,

Just get that cat!!  You crack me up.  Animals are my comfort.  I could not live without a dog.  And I find myself with two dogs, a cat, a horse, a bird, and two snakes.  Oh and two walking sticks.....yes insects.

I am the opposite of you and Chutz.  I live by a shedule!!!  I am way controlled.  I need more spontanaety.  I need to stop and smell the roses.  I would love to be corrupted by sweet children stopping by!  That is a great picture, Chutz!!

I would love to get into the habit of exercising each day for a few minutes. I have a recumbrant stationary bike in the bedroom/bathroom suite and I know I would feel better if I jumped on it once in a while, but I just don't. I babysit my granddaughters each day and am exhausted afterwards, needing to take a nap. But, if I could just bicycle and get my blood circulating........oh well, maybe one day I will get to improving my life like that.

The other thing is sewing. I have the patterns and the fabric. I just need to get motivated and I could sew myself some nice things. Just can't seem to get started.

OK I'm starting to sound lazy. Think I'll keep quiet now. Hahahahaha!!

Have a lpd.

God bless.

Believe in yourself.  Be kind to fellow humans and animals.  Take time to smell the flowers and the coffee.
And by all means, when you are down, ask me for help.  I will be there.

As I ask my family, they say learn to be lazy. I just think it would be a waste of time. What is it called when you are afraid of slowing down?

PAlady,

Move right in and let the corrupting begin!  I have a loverly 19 pound maine coon cat.  He is the big mafia boss of the entire house!!  He keeps the dogs in line and my dogs are Staffordshire Bull Terriers  (sorta like pocket pit bulls).  Mr. Tibbs (the cat) has the power of the paw!!!  Muahahahahahaha.  He is so funny.

Mr. Tibbs (AKA Tony Soprano) sounds like a hoot! 19lbs! shocked smhair
Guess I'll have to learn to let him stay as boss! He should like the corruption angle, though. tongue

Mr. Tibbs will love you if you bring a large cardboard box! He is cool until he sees that. He cannot resist! It is hilarious!

My friend from up north came to stay for a few days. She is mildly allergic to cats. We kept Tibbs out of the room we had for her. She left the door open for just a moment. When she returned.....Tibbs was sprawled across her pillow!!! He had that "that is what you get for shutting me out of your room" look.

I totally have lazaphobia!!!!! I am compelled to do more than one thing at a time. My younger son has a word for it ...something like internetaphoneavision.
