Welcome to Monday and our daily Koffee Klatch time! Do you really drink coffee when you sit down to visit the forum? Just a turn

Many of us have problems with sleep. I'm personally have a hard time turning my brain just keeps buzzing away keeping me awake. So I try to think of something happy, it refocuses my head and I most often doze off. It's hard some times but I can concentrate and do it. BUT these have to be happy thoughts. The last thing you or I need is something negative to think about as we fall asleep.

I most often think of something hubby and I are planning to do. It can be as little as puttering outside with him doing chores or going on a trip, but I think and plan of times we spend together. Those are happy things that relax my goofy What is the last happy thing you think about before going to sleep? If you don’t have one then what would be a good one for you to use?

EVERY single night before I go to sleep I thank God and my Angels for the wonderful day, my family and friends.  No matter what the day was like pain wise, there is always something good!  It took me a long time to be able to do that, once I started it made my life better.  I also wake up Thanking God for the ground that I walk on.....why?  Because I am lucky, without the fusion surgery 9 yrs ago I would have been paralyzed, so no matter how numb my legs are the fact they still work is a MIRACLE....and I AM grateful!

Yes I drink coffee everyday when I sign onto HW. When I work I pop in around 4:30 am on my days off around 7 am with my hot cup of coffee.

about 15 yrs ago we went on vacation to florida to visit family. During this trip while the kids slept at my mother in laws my husband took me for a ride. We ended up on the beach at midnight. I sat there looking into the black omious vastness of the ocean at night. There was lightning going in the clouds a long ways off. It was so overwhelming I couldn't even take a deep breath. It was and is the most beautiful sight I have even seen other than my children being born.

So if I'm having a hard time getting to sleep I think and imagine the ocean at night.

I don't drink coffee, I was a Coke girl, til.. well thats a different story.  When I'm trying to go to sleep I think of flying.  When I was a kid I dreamed I could fly.  Just me no help from anything. I could feel my body rise and fall with the wind and hear the wind in my ears.  We lived near a lake and I could see myself flying over the lake and skimming it with my hands... peaceful... then I'm off snoring

I didn't think I was going to be able to come up with a response to this, but some of the imagery you've all shared triggered some great memories for me!

One is when I rented a condo on the ocean just south of Santa Cruz, California. Actually right on Monterey Bay. There was a conference there I was attending and I splurged big time for this condo, and the main bedroom had a sliding glass door that went to the balcony, and I can still remember lying in bed, on my side, with the curtain open, watching the moonlight over the ocean, and watching as well as listening to the waves lap up on the sand. Sigh.....

I also remember a visit to the Grand Canyon and I walked along the Canyon rim in the moonlight. It was spectacular, seeing all the shapes and shadows. Of course, it was spectacular during the day, too!

Thanks, Chutzie, for helping me pull these memories up.
