Food!!! We all love to talk about food. For some reason pizza sound good right now but the pizza is good eaten any time and at any temperature. So here are 2 questions about pizza and you.... What's your favorite toppings and how do you eat your pizza: folded, flat or with a fork and knife?

I'm a purist when it comes to pizza...nothing too out of the ordinary Canadian bacon and pineapple..that's it. Oh, the sauce and cheese of course and easy on the sauce. I do love to make homemade pizza also. I top it with whatever is in the fridge, pile on the cheese and the guys love it.

How to eat one? I start at the pointy end with a fork since it's bendy. As I get to the crust, my favorite part of a pizza (and a regular pie too), I am more inclined to pick it up and go for it. If we are having it for supper the guys must eat like gentlemen. rolleyes

So, what's on your pizza and how do you eat it?

Eating pizza with a fork and knife?? smhair shocked

No No No! nono smilewinkgrin

This Italian lady just picks it up and eats it flat, although it does depend on the type of pizza you're eating.

I will cut some slack on the utensils if you're eating Chicago style deep dish.

Folding is ok for NYC pies!

But my Mother actually made pizza in a rectangular cookie sheet, although now I just go to my cousins pizza place and buy a round one because he makes the family sauce and homemade pizza dough!

Normally I like some pepperoni and pretty much anything but anchovies, but I get quirky now and then and get a pizza with sauce and cheese and just coated with onions. Weird, I know. rolleyes

My cousin also makes a variety of pizzas including a breakfast pizza topped with eggs and cheese and ham and such - it's kind of like eating a quiche.

But pretty much any kind of pizza is worth a try to me! yeah turn

My very pizza that I obviously can't make at home is one cooked in a brick oven. Thin with fresh cheese, tomato and basil. Yum. turn

Oh, now I'm very hungry and not a pizza in sight, thankfully!

I am a simple simon when it comes to pizza. I love my pizza with extra cheese and onions. That's it. Oh I will eat sausage once in a while, but I will pick off anything else. My husband likes it with the works, so I am often in "picking off" mode. Hahahaha!!!!! But it still tastes good, but not as good as extra cheese with onion please!!

Thanks for the yummy topic. You do so well with topics every day, Chutz. How do you do it??

Gentle hugs to all for a lpd.

Food is always a great topic!!! I love everything on my pizza and it must have extra cheese. I don't like the jalapeno peppers or anchovies. If it is one w/ the works, I will eat it w/ a fork. If it is just a one topping, I'll pick it up and eat it. My son's favorite is canadian bacon and pineapple-it's good too. We eat pizza about once a week. I have made it too. I did it on a cookie sheet. But we are all big eaters so, I don't do it often. I'd have to make 2 atleast, especially if the step kids are here, too.

Lindaloo -
I can't believe there's someone else who just eats it with cheese and onion (and sauce, of course!). When I order it they think I'm a bit nuts! I have it smothered with onion!!!

I LOVE pizza (and food in general)! I usually just eat plain cheese, but sometimes I'll get bacon, or peppers & onions. My mom makes really good homemade pizza, & she usually makes peppers, onions & mushrooms w/ cheese, or all sautéed veggies (caramelized onions, broccoli, mushrooms, peppers, zucchini) sauce, and goat cheese! Mmmmm, mmmm! Now you have me hoping she'll make one on Friday! Plain cheese, & the veggies & goat cheese pizzas are probably my favorite.

If it's really hot, then I start my pizza with a knife & fork. Otherwise, I just pick it up & eat it flat - although it's pretty hard to pick up my mom's homemade pizzas -- too many toppings & too thin a crust to support it all! Folding? Now why would I ruin a perfect piece of pizza by doing that? I'm with Chutzie, I love the crusts!
