Do you have any plans for the weekend? Or will it just be another boring weekend? Hmmm, do you want to do something different? You don't even have to leave home to make the weekend special. Plus, this is Father's Day weekend in the states so maybe you have plans for a celebration.

My kids are famous for last minute things for something like Father's Day, which is the opposite of how I do things, but no matter their plans we are working on a remodel project this weekend. I swear if we don't get this thing done and cleaned up I'll go even more whack-O!...lol So Sat and Sunday we're going to be doing some wiring and starting to put up insulation. Wow, sure does sound like fun...huh?? turn I'm planning on Sunday to BBQ something special and maybe make hubby a nice dessert. That will be enough. He's the step-dad to my kids but he's been more of a father than their own dad ever was. They do appreciate him....and so do I!

The nice thing about finding something different to do on the weekend is it doesn't have to cost anything. Maybe take a walk somewhere you've always wanted to go. Plan watching a movie together and make up some fun snacks. Send the kids to grandma's for an over night and....you can figure out the rest without MY help...lol Or share other fun ideas that are free, or nearly free.

So, what are your plans this weekend? And if you don' t have any...how about planning something?

If you ask what is the single most important key to longevity, I would have to say it is avoiding worry, stress and tension. And if you didn't ask me, I'd still have to say it.

My weekend plans are to pick up my Prescriptions on Saturday.  At 3pm my cousin is coming over and we are going to go swimming in my pool, after that dinner (sandwich and salad) then watching The Secret Life of Bees!  Sunday my daughter is having a BBQ for her Dad and Granddad (my Dad), I was planning on meeting my Dad for dinner...but this sounded much better tongue

Thats about it, nice and relaxing!

Well, I already gave my husband his Father's Day present last weekend. ( I'm one of those who can never wait for things) It was comfy PJ's. This weekend I'll wash them for him. (I have fibro, remember??) Later I will spend the day with him and make him a yummy dinner. My daughter will come over with the girls and that will just delight him!

Thanks for letting me share!!

Believe in yourself.  Be kind to fellow humans and animals.  Take time to smell the flowers and the coffee.
And by all means, when you are down, ask me for help.  I will be there.

Patti, I read that book. It was great! I didn't even know that had it as a movie. I don't watch alot of tv anymore.

My plans for the weekend: I hope my son comes home!!! I have heard Fri., then Sat. then Monday. So I don't really know for sure. We are planning a get together at my sisters' house for tomorrow. That will be nice. We don't get together much anymore. I am looking forward to it. They are planning on ordering sandwiches from Subway. Atleast that way, it won't get too messy. Not quiet a B-bque, but it will be fun.

My husband misses my son too. I told Connor that a couple of days ago. And he said he missed him too. I am glad of that. Money is tight. But we will have lots of quality time. Those are good times filled with great memories. That is all that matters in the long rn.

Happy Fathers' Day to all the dads out there. I hope you have a great weekend.

:-)     Girls and I are gonna start our Daddy projects today :-)

My girls never hesitate at the chance to Sparkle, glitter, flower, their Papa Bear. Usually lanyard, key chains & something fun. I was going to have them try to make a book about why they love their Papa Bear this year. Fathers day is usally a very lazy event here.  I share my birthday (19th) with fathers day. Being parents of little ones were still looking for any reason to have "lazy days". heh
