If you were at a friend’s house for a holiday dinner and you found a dead bug in your salad, what would you do? Would you quietly set it aside to save your hostess from embarrassment? Would you likely scream and jump up from the table? How about speaking up??

For me I guess it might depend on where I was but if it didn't startle me and I was able to keep my composure I'd probably just put it aside and pretend I was full or move on to another course. I would hate to disrupt the meal. But...if was someone I wasn't that fond of...I might just react a bit differently...lol

How about you? Speak up or keep quiet?

If you ask what is the single most important key to longevity, I would have to say it is avoiding worry, stress and tension. And if you didn't ask me, I'd still have to say it.

Wow Chutzie, This one is a biggie...I guess I would put my napkin over my plate and have to excuse myself for a few minutes to get myself together. And when I returned, I would probably say that I wasn't hungry anymore.

If it was a friend I would find a way to make a joke out of it and laugh at it. Hoping to save any guilt feeling and having a great dinner.

We checked in to a very nice hotel last night and as I was not sleeping to early, I looked across the floor and there was this big coachroach. I killed the bugger and left him for the maid this morning so she would see the remains (there was no way she would miss it). Speaking of bugs.

I agree with fatherjohn if it was a close friend I would probably ask if this was their way of adding protein to the salad or something like that! Then depending on the type of bug it was, I might even pop it into my mouth and eat it!

This is a friend's house, right?? So I would definitely say something. I too, would make a joke out of it and say exactly what Whitebeard said about adding protein to the meal. I have done that before actually. Can't take life too seriously.

Believe in yourself.  Be kind to fellow humans and animals.  Take time to smell the flowers and the coffee.
And by all means, when you are down, ask me for help.  I will be there.
