Ok, it is true, my wife and I had the wonderful honor of having a divine lunch with Patti in Arizona. I won't tell secrets, but I can say that when all of us post to each other on this thread we know that we are conversing with caring people. Meeting Patti in person showed that she is such a wonderful and caring woman. It was very interesting as we shared stories, laughed, and we both had to wipe tears from our eyes as well. I will also tell you this much, the caregiver in Patti just surrounds her as talks and shares her heart. What a great woman and we feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to share several hours together. I usually tell people that if my wife is with me everything looks better. I remember telling Patti she would recognize us by the old man with the cane and the young looking wife.

I have to start planning for my next meeting with another CPer. Yes it should be coming soon and I am looking forward to another exciting venture.

John,

It is so wonderful you actually got to meet a forum friend face to face. I've been luck to do that also and it's so wonderful! It puts a name and persona to the person you already know..So when and who is your next meeting??

FJ,
Will you bring me along, too? yeah

I'd much rather come to Phoenix, Patti, especially in the winter! smilewinkgrin

It's heartwarming to know a few people get to meet. Fatherjohn I think your next meeting is with Pete, right?

Patti - if you took a flight that stopped in Pittsburgh or Erie I could meet you for an airport lunch! But those are really out of the way stops if you're going straight to Philly!

FatherJohn, I think it is great that you were able to meet Patti! I am so happy for the both of you. It sounds like it was wonderful! I would love to meet so many of you in person. I don't travel hardly ever. My mom lives in TN. I did get to go there for Thanksgiving last year. I don't imagine that any of you ever go to LA? It truly is heartwarming that you had the opportunity to meet in person and get to visit face to face for a change!

FJ thats awesome you got to meet Patti. A few years back several of the people on the crohns forum came up with a central like meeting place and a bunch of them got together at one hotel for 4-5 days and had the very best time getting to know each other. Sadly, I was really sick with my crohns and could not make the trip and sure wished I had been able to. The hotel being told the story of this get together blocked off several rooms at a discounted rate, someone made a sizable donation never knew who and the money went towards the food bill at the hotel's restaurant. They had a wonderful time. Wouldn't it be neat if we could come up with a plan like that?

Susie, It would be great. Meeting people that we are so connected to just makes it even more special. With my job, I have times of travel that can be good. I have held off for the last 1 1/2 years as I have gone through 3 surgeries but I am being told it is time to hit the road again. I look forward to meeting more people from our HW family. Blessings!

FJ maybe this is something we all need to put out heads together on for maybe a spring fling. That would give everyone enough time to save up some xtra cash and such. I think it would be a blast.
