Hi Tony,

I haven't seen you post in a while, and I was just wondering how everything is going. Are you making any progress with your sleep apnea treatments?

I hope all is well! Give us an update if you have a chance!

Been kinda out of it.

Lost another computer a week ago, and with it went my user names and passwords, and my memory left long ago. So I had to get another computer, and get it configured with all my user names and passwords.

Thank you for remembering my Sleep Apnea trials. Well, I got my mask and computer. But I'm going to have to go back in for some programming adjustment. It forces the air to blow too hard at times, and blows right past the mask.

However, I did get it approved and I did get one. The guy said it would be too expensive and that I had better get it while I have insurance. Rents for $795 or $895 per month.

I think it must be similar as to the STS; get it on insurance or you aren't likely getting one.

How does this relate to pain? Well, the Sleep Apnea in a rather direct way, I'm surprised to say. When my breathing evens out, my pain should even out some as well. We'll see once I get the mask working right.

Again, thanks for remembering and asking, Skeye.

Hi Tony,

Sorry to hear about all the computer problems! Those are certainly no fun! I lost my entire hard-drive & everything on it this winter. Fortunately, the computer was only 3 mo old, so there wasn't that much on it. But it crashed several days before my end of the semester exams, and I lost 3 mo worth of research for my final paper in one of my classes. My professor was nice enough to let me hand it in at the beginning of the spring semester, but it mean that I had to do all my research & writing over again during my month off in January. I have an external hard-drive now, but it just recently died on me! What is it with all these pieces of technology only lasting a few months!

Glad to hear that you are getting your mask all set up. I can imagine that it will take some time to get used to! But hopefully in the end it will help you sleep better & help with your pain! Just getting a better night's sleep alone has got to help with the pain some! I'm glad your insurance approved the machine! Those rental prices are outrageous!

I hope you had a nice holiday today & aren't in too much pain!

Skeye

Tony sorry to learn about your computer troubles, keep your old hard drive as that's what
has most of your personal info on it and if someone should hack it that would be extremely bad...
we built this one and used a good AMD Motherboard and have 3 gigs of memory and if you
can get your hands on Linux for your operating system, I liked Mandrake 10, but my hubby got the peguin
instead, Mac has Snow Leopard coming out and even a new verision for windows Vista is coming out...
If you have to do Windows Try to find XP Pro, it's better than the others and Vista might crash and burn ya...
Anyways sure hope you get your computer problems fixed and then hopefully a goodnights rest as well....
Sure glad you got the mask approved a big WOOHOO for that...
Post back when you can, missed ya...

A lot of people, even a lot of doctors, are not really aware how much quality sleep can effect a person's overall health, physical and mental.

Well, I can prove how much *detriment* can be provided from an unhealthy drive to work. Just piece together the police tapes they'll likely use to prosecute me later this week and you'll quickly become convinced as well. :)

:)

(EDIT: Absolutely no idea where this came from.)

Thanks for the Frys.com tip, Chartreux. And the rest.

re: police tapes - I honestly do NOT know where my previous post came from. I don't know whether to hope it was a hack or sleepwalking adventure.

Putting that call in to get the mask adjusted. Haven't worn it since Thursday night it is so uncomfortable.
