Hi,

I was hoping someone mught be able to help me with some questons I have on here.  I'm 29 and have been on imuran and mesal for about 4 years now.  It had looked like I was finished up with some surgeries so we were going to try for another baby.  With my first pregnancy I was on these meds, but thought we'dd give it a try goign off for this time round.  I have been off my meds now for about 2.5 weeks and everything was fine except for the little problem that I seriously thought I was having a heart attack.  Went to the ER and blood tests and EKG's all seemed fine.  They're thinking that it is reflux.  Has anyone else experienced these symptoms.  Shortness of breath, severe chest pain, back pain??  It's really scaring me.  I'm wondering if I've had this for a long time and the imuran was fixing that problem as well as my crohns?
Please help
Thank you

      Dear Sheeka,

Good evening :-)   I hope you are feeling a little bit better.

Did or does your doctor know you are off your meds and are trying to become pregnant? If not let your primary care physician know. He/she might suggest a multi vitamin with folic acid and perhaps a small does of calicum or just the sm chewable (tums).
Pergnancy is hard, as you already know, there is very little we can do with our bodies before / during / after bringing children in to the world. If you plan on breastfeeding (like I did) the process can take up to 4 yrs before you get your body "back".
I am unsre of what to suggest as you have chrons. Sorry cant help tooo much.... But WWOOooOOOooOT! I loved that stage of my marriage *sigh* Its a lil jelousy there but all good hearted! Grats!!

*huggs*
