Happy Sunday to all...

I hope this weekend has bee fun and/or peaceful...whichever you most need. There are times I need to get out and just 'play', yet at other times I need peace and quiet and heaven help the person who interrupts my 'ME' time...lol It's hard for all of us to find time to do whatever we please without either interruption or a feeling that we should really be doing something else. Those of us who live with daily pain do need to make sure our bodies get plenty of rest so we CAN have those fun times. We all have a different view of what fun or ME time is...what's yours?

If I need ME time I usually prefer to work on a quilt or read...that's if I'm alone. Otherwise just being with hubby is peaceful for me. He may put something on TV and we both may be working on our quilts just as long as no one puts demands on me. With kids and grandkids near the phone is always ringing or someone is coming through the door.

So sometimes hubby and I 'run away' for our fun or ME time. We love to go geocaching or out to get a hamburger from our favorite hole-in-the-wall take out place or maybe just pack a picnic and go for a drive. Hmmm, come to think of it, we haven't done that in a while. Think maybe I need to suggest that very soon.

How about you?? What is your idea of ME time or fun time and do you have a hard time finding time for you?

For me, Me time is going into my sewing room and sewing on my machines. But with this chronic pain in my legs and back, I seldom feel well enough to do that.

So that's it. Short, but to the point!!

Believe in yourself.  Be kind to fellow humans and animals.  Take time to smell the flowers and the coffee.
And by all means, when you are down, ask me for help.  I will be there.

My ME time is taking my four dogs out to the field and watching them run and play and tackle each other, they can make me smile when I don't feel like it and all they want from me is love and that is one thing I can give that doesn't hurt, lol!!

     Dear Chutz,

My jewlery. Yepp. Sketches and glass and silver and crimps. Recently a friend in california sent some gorgeous stones my way. This one I am working on looks like "rock candy lillipop sticks". In fact I think I should pick some up and send it along with the finished peices. Nearly done, excited this one is a cutie for sure.

My "me" time can be several different things. It can be coming here to the forum and getting caught up on everyone. It can be sitting and doing absolutly nothing, just rocking in my chair- no tv, no radio, no noise of any kind. It can be taking a hot bubble bath and reading a book. I also enjoy walking late at night with my husband. I call that one "us" time! lol   I have been trying lately to do one of these thing everyday. I feel like I need it. It helps me to feel peaceful and relaxed. I always feel better afterwards. A long time ago, with my first husband, I checked into a motel alone for a night- I read in the bed all day and that night. That was nice, too.

Me time is getting in the pool, doing water exercises, then floating for an hour or 2....best place for me to be with CP is in the water!  READING is truly my favorite me time activity!
