Hello Everyone.

I just wanted to share what's been going on these past few days. My kids and I JUST got home at 2:45 am from the ER, my 7 year old daughter has impetigo, she has a sore under her buttock that is HUGE with blisters all aorund it and it's leaking goo that leaks right through her clothes non stop, and she has another smaller sore on the other buttock and 4 on her back and one on her thumb, I have never seen this stuff before and it scares me. I'm just so stressed out from her being sick, then I have HUD inspection at 11am today and my apartment is not ready. I messes up my bank account and cant afford to pay my utilities that was due today, so my electricity is probably gonna be shut off this morning, but I'm gonna go write a check anyways in hte morning and tryand get some money in my account before that check hits the bank, please keep your fingers crossed for me. I just feel like everything is going wrong, and I'm so stressed I wanna just curl up in a ball under my blankets and not come out til it's all over, but that would just makes things worse. I also went to my doctor's appointment yesterday and he said things where going wonderfully for me and I only have to see him now every 3 months instead of 2, which is great cause I hate hte long drive up there and each appointment costs $135 out of pocket, so the less apointments I have to go to, the better. Also my best friend has seemed to disappear into thin air, she has people calling me looking for her cause she owes money on some bills, and this is the first time she has just ignored them or me. Her window moved some yesterday so I know she's alive, atleast she was yesterday. She's got alot of health problems that she ignores, and her doctor just left he practice and she hasnt been in to meet her new doctor and get updated prescription as I dont think pharmacies can fill meds for doctors that dont work at the moment, and she has very dangerous high blood pressure. I've treid calling her like crazy, knocking on her door, her lights are not on, what do you guys think I should do, this is absoutly not like her and I'm scared she might of had another stroke or a heart attack or fell down and is severly hurt cause she can barely walk as it is.

Sorry to ramble on, just so many things going on and questions and my stress is through the roof, I feel like I'm one step away from the nutfarm (not really) but things are not going well. I know it will pass, as I have been in much worse situations before and made it through just fine. Well anyways, thanks for listening.

    Dear MissKitty,

Good afternoon *huggs* It is good to see you. I am enjoyng everyone here so much. What blessing to have met you. Wish you knew how much nicer healing well has made my life. *sigh*

And, if you don't mind my saying... shocked   HOLY COW  shocked  YOU have alot on you plate.   I was reading about impetigo and it sounds like that can be very resistant to treatment shakehead   I do not have any personal experience with it.. But have a few ideas
Tea Tree Oil - can get a "soap" form from.. walmart, or any store really most often found in off-brand body washes.
Calendula - Can get in oil, or cream form at any local health food or co ops. I used cream form for all sorts of things.
I am no so sure those would help you at all. Just an idea. Bless her heart! Alot of a 7yr old.
Must be very brave like her Mommy  :-)

I hope everything goes okay with the inspection today.   If they give you any lip.. tell them you ll be over to inspect their houses at 4pm today. smilewinkgrin

!!!WOOT!! for gettin three month approval!!!! *high five* I felt like I wont the lottery when 2 of my doctors when to 6mo. yeah    Just this last christmas. Pretty cool.

Your friend sounds like many people I know. I think, for me, the hardest part is the "what ifs".  I only had "What if" actually happen once. Was back when news papers were still delivered tho. And was able to get a "welfare check" based on the 2 weeks of news papers piled and AND rent past due. The rest of my friends who go MIA? they just don't know! They have no clue how badly they scare us! Sometimes its for addiction, depression... just anxiety or terminal illness news, life changes. I dont know about you, but I would rqather hear horrbiile news from my friends than to have them hide from me. There isnt anything I havnt seen, witnessed, experienced myself. ... I fell Im getting off track..!! Anyway, I know how you feel. I know money is tight right now... You have any spare baskets? Put together a "thinking of you" basket with lil goofy things. Favortie candies, candles, valerian root tea, vodoo dolls... who knows?  Just a thought. *huggs!*

Hey... this "Nutfarm" place you speak of. One question. Is there telephones? If not.... girl imma packing up the makings for margaritas and pedicures! See you there! WoOOOT!

*warm huggs*

HelloKitty, I am thinking about you. I know you have alot going on. Most of the utility companies are pretty good about setting up payment arrangements. I understand the place you are in. I need to make those phone calls myself TODAY! Most of the time, they will work with you. Be honest with them. And explain your situation. I hate making those calls!! It is so degrading and embarrassing...

And I understand having to file for bankruptcy. I did that myself not too long ago. Now I am behind on making those payments and I am so scared they will dismiss and close my case. I did write a letter to my trustee last month and tried to explain my situation. I begged her not to dismiss my case. I stated that I would let her know the exact dated I return to work. And that I would start back to making my regular payments at that time. I also said I would catch up on what I am behind. I haven't heard anything from her. I am sooo scared that my case will be dismissed. I just don't have the extra money to send in for a payment. My car is in the bankruptcy. I am sooo scared that it will be repossessed. And what would I do then? So I know how you feel about the financial problems. That has become my life lately!!! Just hang in there and do the best you can do.

Sorry to hear about your daughter. Hope she starts improving. Bless her heart. I know that hurts you to see her like that too. But she will get better. Sometimes it takes a while for it to heal, but it will get better. Be sure and wash your hands real good. Tell her about it too. She needs to wash her hands often.

Keep trying to contact your neighbor. It sounds like she wants to draw into a shell and isolate herself. Keep trying. Do you have a number for one of her family members? Do you live in an apartment? Maybe you can go to the office and tell the manager. She/he should have some sort of a contact number for a realitive. They need to be aware of what is going on with her. Especially since she has the health problems that she does. Keep us posted on how this comes out.

Hang in there, girl. We all care about you. And we are here for you. Just know that you are not alone. Post as often as you need to. We are all ears and shoulders.Sounds like you need a hug...

Have you ever heard of the LIHEAP program?

It is a federal grant program to help people pay their utility bills. I don't know, nor is it any of my business, what your income is or anything like that, but I just wanted to let you know about it as it could help some.

Hello, thank you everyone for the replies. I'm defiantly gonna look into the stuff that you guys told me about, thank you alot.

My daughter's sore under her left butt cheek (on the back of her thigh) is looking more and more nasty, and it seems like everytime I turn around, their's even more sores, 4 on her back, one on upper arm, one on thumb, and one on her knee, and one on her stomach. I guess they all started out as normal sores she got from playing around and her scartching it with dirty findernails, so I trimmed all her nails really short. Sorry, I just cant beleive how yucky that one sore looks, It scares me to see something on my daughter. It makes me feel like a bad mother, but I was told by the ER doctor that it was pretty common with children, but I have never heard of it on anyone else's kid.

And my inspections went ok....I did fail but not because anything I did, we just got new management and the one before always ignore my concerns about things being broken in my apartment, like the counter is broken (and has been since before I moved it) and one of my stove's burners is broken, and the tiles for my shower wall is getting bad cause the caulking is gone. But these are things the apartment has to fix, and hud comes back and inspect it again to make sure they where done, so just wonderful, I get ANOTHER inspection.

AND to makes things worse, my son lied to me and said he was going to his friend's apartment to play and they went across the street and climbed the middle school their to get tennis balls off the roof and the cops got called. So the cop came over and talked to my son, luckly he's too young to get criminal charges pressed against him, but he is grounded big time. He asked me if I hated him, I told him no but that I was disappointed that he lied and did something he knew he wasnt suppose. So now I have this severe headache, I still havent gotten much sleep. But I cant sleep with all this stress and worries, even my cell phone got shut off today, what could possibly be next?

Kitty,

I'm sorry that you are having such a rough time! It often feels like all the bad things happen at once! It just isn't fair! I hope things start looking up for you & your family shortly! No one needs more stress, in addition to CP, and certainly not the kind of things that you are dealing with!

hugs,
Skeye

Kitty,
One thing after another. That I understand completely! I hope things begin settling down for you a bit, and that your daughter recovers as quickly as possible.
