I am nauseated (again) and the headache pain is bad !!!!! Ate a few crackers after wretching for a bit and waiting for my stomach to settle down. i got my pain dr. to order me some Ondansetron so when we get home from Toronto I will get that filled ASAP. It works better than Gravol (my experience using it at work, I am a nurse).

Anyone else up and on the computer?

I'm here too!!  I've developed shingles and can't seem to lay in bed for more than 5 hrs.  Oh, well, this is kinda nice.  Everyone is sleeping so I get some quiet time.  Sorry to hear about the nausea, that has to be awful, is it better when you are sitting?  Take care and try to get a nap in today.

Good morning, tmjpain

Hi TMJpain:

I'm sorry I missed you, it's 3:25 a.m. eastern time. I take Zofran (Ondansetron) for nausea as well, and it does work quite well. Sometimes I get nauseated from my high pain level.

I also have a condition called gastroparesis that now is pretty much controlled by a device implanted in my stomach called a gastric pacemaker, but before the doctors figured out what was wrong with me, I went through a year of non-stop wretched vomitting that just would not let up and did not respond to any medications whatsoever.

I hope that you are feeling better soon,

Lorie

Thanks all.

I think my nausea is from a high pain level too. Getting on here is probably not the best, but it helps to distract from the pain. the nausea hasn't passed yet. Anxious to get my script filled.

Hi Jag, oohhh i've heard shingles is very painful. I hope you feel better soon.

I may be too late to join the party as it is 2 am on the west coast. about the time I get ready for bed, those on the east coast will be getting up. That sounds like a normal routine for some of us. When people are going to be we are up and when they are up we are trying to go to bed. Anyway, I am waiting for my 9PM meds to take effect that I took at 1:30 am. That might make for a long night but hopefully for sleepy morning.

Hi, Suzanh,
Welcome to the Chronic Pain forum of Healing Well and yes, you're reading right! People are posting here at all hours, some nights more than others!

I just wanted to suggest that you start your own new thread and introduce yourself to the group. That way everyone will see your post and come along and welcome you! This is a great support group, although we're not doctors. It's also a moderated forum, and we have 6 moderators on the chronic pain forum, so if one of us can't answer a question you can ask one of them.

It also helps to read the forum rules, and the Help section is well, very helpful!

Again, welcome.

Suzanh, I also want to welcome you. There are many of us that seem to take turns staying up at night as we deal with the pain and all the things that go with it. Some of us are long time endurers while others are new to the constant pain. Just read as much as you like join in when you feel comfortable. As PAlady said, start a new thread and just tell us about yourself, what you feel comfortable sharing and you will find some very compassionate people here. We all share CP in common. I look forward to having you with us.

Hi Fatherjohn

I have been here for a while but if you would like to hear my story I can give it again. I have had chronic pain for ten years.
