Today is day 7 without any anti-inflammatiories and I feel like I I've been rung through one of those old fashioned ringer washers and it is not a good feeling!!!! My fingers will hardly work and my headache is coming back. This will probably be the last post before surgery on Wed. because tomorrow will be a really big pain day and I  probablly will not be able to type. I will be so glad to get it over with and find out just how bad the shoulder is. I hope all of you are feeling relatively well. Take care..........

Nurse
Good luck with your surgery, and I hope tomorrow is as pain free as can be for you!
I have had migraines for 27 years. I have tried so many meds I have forgotten their names...

I also have chronic back pain due in part to a car accident in 2005.  I have also been diagnosed with facet disease which was aggravated by the accident and started the flare up.  3 bulging discs to the left.  Lower back pain that goes down my right leg to my knee....

Currently taking Oxycodone, MS Contin, Gabapentin Verapamil, Fioricet, Migrainal, Prozac, prednisone,  and having repeat injections in my facets and nerve ablation.

Nurse2, couln't you use tylenol in place of the nsaids? Maybe they don't work for you or you can't take them. I was allowed to use tylenol before my surgeries. What kind of surgery are you having? Hope all goes well, surgery of any kind can be kinda scary. I always ask for a little something in my IV before the surgery to calm my nerves while waiting.

The fingers are still working tonight. Thanks for all of the prayers and good wishes. I pre-regestered with the hospital today so things will go more smoothly on Wed. a.m. I'm now remenbering the hugh bandage on the shoulder and the sling that aggrivates my neck for sure. I finished cleaning the house today and the laundry is all finished so I'm really ready to go. The shoulder feels like it is bone-on-bone today.I guess I'll see when the doc is done. Everyone take care and I'll write when I can .

Nurse2, I am so sorry you are hurting so badly. Your description made that pretty clear! I do hope that you will rest tomorrow. I worked the day before my surgery... I think if you can rest up after doing all the needed chores, it may help even a little. I do wish you well on your surgery on Wednesday. I will be sure and remember you in my prayers. You know we will all be thinking about you and sending your warm thoughts and lots of soft hugs during this time. When you feel up to it, please post and let us know how you are doing. I hope that your surgery is a great success and relieves your pain completely.
