I hope you all had a good weekend. I'm pleased to say that hubby and I survived giving a birthday party for 3 year-olds. Just surviving unscathed was a small miracle in itself. They were good but oh wow do they have energy. But they had fun and love anything with sugar in it. Luckily it was a warm, sunny day so they splashed in a tiny pool and ran through a toddler sprinkler.

If you would have told me I'd be doing all of this when hubby and I first married more than a dozen years ago, I would have thought you crazy. But our family has grown and gotten more diverse which also means we have lots of grandkids. I love it but it does wear me out. So this begs the question... What do you want to be doing in five years? Would I have wanted this? Of course. I love my kids and grandkids so very much and to be blessed with 'extra' daughters and families is amazing. I hope in another 5 years to be doing more of the same.

So, what do YOU want to be doing 5 years from now? Anything if fair game and remember...dreams are still free. smilewinkgrin

If you ask what is the single most important key to longevity, I would have to say it is avoiding worry, stress and tension. And if you didn't ask me, I'd still have to say it.

I am kind of with Chutzie on this one. But, I am jealous of her lol, she has lots of grandkids, I have one. Being as it may, in five years I want to be healthy enough to continue being the grandmother I want to be to my 4 yr old grandson. He is the love of my life and we have such great fun together, we tune the world out when we are together. There are so many things I want to do with this little boy as he gets older and places I want him to see. It will take decent health to pull this off, this is my dream.

5 years from now we are wanting to take our kid, who is now 3, on a real vacation to Florida. Our plans are to hook up the camper and take 2-3 weeks and go visit Disney, Sea World, the Space Center, etc and then possibly swing through Smokey Mnt National park on the way home.

Other than that it will be "business" as usual around here trying to make sure my little guy has a happy, full life as he grows up and teaching him all that I can so one day he can take his place in the world as a confident, able and well mannered adult.
2 confirmed herniated lumbar discs. Spinal Arthritis. Spinal Stenosis, diabetic peripheral nueropathy.

I am so VERY jealous! I want grandchildren. My oldest is 20 but he is NOT ready for children. My daughter really wants children so hopefully when she is out of college she will have a bunch.

5 yrs you say I gotta think on that one. My kids will be in college and hopefully living at home. I hope I will still be able to work.

Ok I want to be able to see my daughter and son to graduate from college. That will be what I will live for. Should happen in 5 years they are almost out of highschool.

If Y'all are into going to theme parks check out : CEDAR POINT it's in
Sandusky Ohio, has a Snoopy Land for the lil ones and over 14 rollar coaster for the Adults,
Make sure to brace your neck at the end on the Cork Screw, it's fun but can jolt you there..
Just type it in on a google search: Cedar Point
you might like it better than disneyland, it's on lake Erie and has nice views, has a seperate water park and
mini golf course...
The price of admission to the theme parks is reasonable, it's just the food prices and hotel costs that
really really hurt the wallet. and then the games, was 3 to 5 a try at the games at Cedar Point, this year but
Jasmine had a fun time on the rollar coasters................

You know I never thought it would come down to something so basic for me, but since getting the diagnosis of Barrett's esophagus with premalignent cell changes I think in 5 years I just want to be alive.

I don't mean for that to sound too somber. It's just that it has put some things in perspective for me. Even chronic pain, oddly enough. And depression.

In 5 years, in 10 years, in 20 years I want to be alive and be able to enjoy some part of life more than I am now.

Sweet and simple.

Dear Chutz,

In five year we would like to begin building our home. There are alot of costly things we would like to have build in to the home. Will more than likly end up being a very small home. Soy bean insulation, non molding wood, solar roof tiles, radiant heated floors, pellet burners & on & on I could go. But! The size matters not! It is the love within the home that matters most.  :-)
