I don't really have anyone else to tell and I'm excited! I just found out that I'm going to be a grandma! It's so strange to me. I just don't feel "old enough"  :-)  ! Wow, I can't believe it - one of my babies is going to be a daddy!

Congratulations!  I take it this is your first grandchild?  I have three grandchildren, but remember how I felt after the first one was born.  You don't know what it's truly like to be a grandparent until you become one.  Enjoy!  tongue

You make sure to tell your son to make sure she does everything she is suppose to while being pregnant. It is a very emotional time in a woman's life and not to get mad if one minute she's happy and the next she's crying. OMG, she's already in her second trimester. WOW!

Splashdancer -

That's great news - congrats!! I love "Christmas" babies :) My third son was born three days before Christmas and came home on Christmas Day. On that last day, the nurses put him in a stocking (as a blanket). It was so cute; I still love looking at those pictures.

I'm excited for you and your family!!

Thank you everyone! Momto6boys - that is too cute, he must have been adorable!

This news is really special to me for a couple of reasons. First, that this is my first grandbaby! But it's also kind of bittersweet because my Dad passed away last year so he won't get to see his first great-grandbaby, which is something he had talked about looking forward to. Also, Ryan (daddy-to-be) and his brother David, were out of my life for almost 10 years and we are just starting to really get to know each other. I missed out on so much of their younger years. My ex-husband abducted them and disappeared when they were 2 and 5 years old - I searched for just short of 10 years before I found them. Neither one of them really remembered me. It's so strange, because for me, they were frozen in time at 2 and 5. I was full of memories and they had virtually none. So anyway, I am just doubly thankful for this special gift of a grandson. :-) :-)

Just wanted to add something real quick. To Hara: you mentioned how Ryan should make sure that Amber is doing all she needs to do while she's pregnant. He is being so sweet - he worked a few hours of overtime just so he could buy her 6 or 7 books on being pregnant! He has no problem with her working, but he took on a second job so she could cut back on her hours (she also goes to college). He's been rubbing her feet every nite, cooking for her, making sure no one smokes around her, etc. Maybe he's going a bit overboard, but it's so cute! They are just so young and in love. blush   Ok, sorry guys, I know this is the Chronic Pain forum so I will stop now. I'm just so happy - it makes the pain a little better.
