At least you got through the party that's the thing. I hope a little sleep comes to you tonight.

I'm sorry, Nurse2, that you are suffering! While I'm glad that you were able to get through the party....it's frustrating that we have to deal with the "consequences" of doing something active/fun/etc.

I'm HOPING you have gotten a little rest tonight. Feel better.
Pain Issues: Neck/back pain; migraines; carpal tunnel syndrome; widespread joint/muscle pain, nerve pain in hands, arms, feet; I also have POTS/dysautonomia; CFS/Fibromyalgia; Severe Hypertension; Hypothyroidism; Addison's Disease; Central Sleep Apnea; etc etc

Isn't that the way of things? You always "Pay the Piper" when you over do things! Give it a couple of three or four days! But during that time take it easy! I do wish you well, and hope you start felling better soon! By the way when is you next shoulder surgery going to be? I have been thinking about you and I wish you well!

Please take care of yourself!

White Beard hit the nail on the head. Paying the piper. The choices are tougher than most people understand when it comes to doing something we really want to do but knowing the 'price'.

I hope you're a little better today....and take it easy.

sad   hello. i just went to s pain specilist after my reg. dr. said she could not give me anything stronger because im on hydrocodone from another dr. for restless lege syndrome.( ive tried EVERYTHING else but nothing else worked.) the pain dr. put me on oxycodone, with the promise from me that i would only take the oxy. during the day and hydro. at night. the oxy. is really not helping that much, but im fallowing my agreement with my. pain dr.i see him again in less than 2 weeks now, so i cant wait to see him.i hope hell give me something stronger. i am woeking on coming on some of my other meds. slowly, but hopefully going forward. i am hopeful for the 1st time in months. ive pretty much been housebound and seldom got out of bed. the new pain med. is helping some just noy enough. i want to be up and doing things. i want to be able to have fun with my husband. i hope others of you are getting relief from your pain. ive tried many other things but this is the only thing that seems to maybe be able to help!

nurse 2, im sorry about my last post. it was supposed to be a new topic and somehow i messed up. i do feel badly about yout situation. i, too have given b-day parties and then suffered later. i hope you have found some relief by now. i agree that you should take care of yourself. take a walk or a warm bath. read a book youve been dying to read. work on a hooby, if it doesnt require much effort. i really hope you find something that works for you. good luck, and again im sorry about my previous post. i didnt mean to talk about my issues during your time. please forgive.
