The forums at drugs.com deal a lot with stopping or tapering or weaning different types of drugs, different methods etc though I notice a lot of the posts relate to people who are abusing painkillers, not using for chronic pain issues. Your best bet would be to talk to your doc about it and organise to wean off them slowly, otherwise you will be in for a world of hurt

If you are under a doctors care please ask the doctor to assist you in the weaning process. If you do not have a doctor try the website Shanno posted.

Also welcome to healingwell forums.

Best wishes

try opiatedetoxrecovery.com, it's a websight/forum meant just for tapering off of all narcotics, anything from pain killers, to methaodne, to heroin. They're also really good at giving tapering plans and supporting people during and after tapers. But like others, the best place to start with is your doctor. But if your not getting the med from a doctor, then an addiction doctor would be a great person to go to, they offer lots of resourses.
