Hi, you are talking to the Methadone Queen...ha ha.. But seriously, I have been taking it for a long long time so I know a few things. First of all, Methadone helps with the pain but usually they will give you something for the BT pain..I take Oxycodone 30 mg. for that. I am on 120 mg. of Methadone a day and I know that sometimes it just doesn't cut it...if I didn't have the Oxycodone I would be in serious pain...
I think that you might need to increase the dose, but not too much...Methadone has some nasty side effects..one of them is that some people tend to "nod off". That goes away after you get used to it. Methadone stays in your system for about 30-48 hrs. but it is one of the hardest drugs to get off of.
Be careful, don't take anything like Xanax or Valium, that is dangerous. I happen to like Methadone better then anything else I have taken for pain...and I have been on a lot. It does help better after you get it in your system so be patient...you really haven't been on it very long.
If you ever want to talk about it my email is on my profile...and good luck.
I have been a spectator for so long..Now it's time to participate.......
