Do you 'unscrew' your Oreos or munch then down one bite at a time...or maybe you make them into one giant bite?...lol

If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed... tongue So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.

So, back to the question...how do you eat your Oreos? Or any cookie for that matter. I remember as a child I would watch my mother dip crisp cookies in her coffee. Well....if mom was doing it then it must be good...right??? So I would ask if I could 'dunk' also. Most often I would get a glass of milk to dunk into but once in a while I got to dunk MY cookie into HER milk. Oh yum!! Was I ever special. They didn't taste that good but who cared. I was very grown up dunking into coffee...lol And the Oreos? I just munch them down with plenty of milk! Love the ones with peanut butter inside and the double stuff. Oh, I just remembered a story...several years ago when I had my farm I had two ewes. They were named Cashew and Oreo. When they were expecting babies we called the one... Oreo with double stuff...and yep, she delivered twins...lol

How do you eat your cookies?

I was never one to take my Oreo cookies a part I always liked them intact! I am a dunker though! most things taste better when dunked in coffee  it makes cookies softer, and with Oreos it helps the taste. Since I usually don't drink coffee after 2 or 3 in the afternoon , if I have cookies  after that (and often they might be Oreos ) I will often dunk them in orange juice , as I drink alllot of OJ and I like it allot! I will often have a large class of it with  a meal! Chocolate chip cookies are just plain fantastic dunked in Orange Juice! as is most cookies including Oreos! yeah

"Hard" cookies like Oreos and Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cooking (and lets not forget Nutter Butters) I like to dip in cold white milk.

Soft cookies on the other hand I will just munch away on.

I love cookies soaked in milk. I don't unscrew my oreos anymore like I did in my childhood. I just soak them and munch.
Dani, you said you were a cookie monster....
I'm the ultimate cookie monster!
One time I bought a large pack of peanut butter patties (those cookie bars that nutter butter makes) and ate the whole package in one sitting!
I groaned for about an hour, but it was worth it ;)
