If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed... tongue So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.

(We sure do miss you Miss Chutz! We ALL hope your having fun!)

Do you have a screen saver?

I have Pixi Hallow Trees (Diney's Tinker Bell Series) as my screen saver. Everything for my daughters is fairy related! From shoes, to linens, lunchboxes and ... even mommy's screen saver!

      What is your screen saver?

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

I use at home the old changing flower box that came with my computer. I tried to download a waterfall program but it was infected and I had to clean my drive.

At work I use the wobbling clock that came with the computer (teaching time to the kids).

I don't use a screensaver, but I have a really cool wallpaper. It's a black and white photo of a misty mountain range, a lake, and cypress-like trees in the foreground. It is a very relaxing, peaceful scene and sometimes I stare at it when I am stressed out and it calms me. Very zen-like. My dad's computer has a really cute wallpaper. Before he passed away last year (God, I miss him), he photoshopped a picture of the back of their condo. There are trees in the backyard and lots of grass - he inserted a rhino and a few other wild creatures in the picture. So it looks like these wild animals are grazing in the middle of suburbia! It looks very real! My dad was a very proud Marine, full of toughness, stubbornness, and all that makes a Marine the best - he wasn't big on emotion or "cuteness" - but that wallpaper is a reminder of another side of him that very few people ever saw.

Mine consists of photos my extended family send me. Whenever I get a few new ones, I just put them in my "pictures" file and my mac automatically scrolls through them if I pick "photos" as the screensaver of choice. Course, I can change to a variety of other things, but I love looking at the kids from when they were infants to now (mostly around preschool, and elementary school age), and one pregnant cousin due in December!

I don't have any pictures worthy of putting up as a screensaver! I deleted all the pictures that I had because, well, they reminded me of bad things. I must upload some pictures of my holiday in the carribean up though, my father is a stunning photographer, there are some amazing pictures on that camera. Most worthy of my screensaver!

I use photos of my kid as wallpaper and the photo album that has my son's pics in it as my screen saver.
