Happy Sunday to all...we're going to have a little share and tell session today. Now be honest!! smhair shocked Most everyone loves weddings with all of the celebration and fun. But some of the fun also includes a few fun 'tricks' on the bride and groom...especially if they are close buddies. So...have you ever participated in any 'pranks' on a newly married couple? Awww, come'on! I'll bet you have!! Think hard... idea Now, it's not only time to fess up, but time to share the great ideas...lol smilewinkgrin

When a cousin married many, many years ago we did have a lot of fun with her apartment. Since an aunt owned the apartment unit where we all lived, gaining access wasn't difficult. So, after the wedding when they were off on a honeymoon for a few days we had some great fun. Now I can't share EVERYTHING! since this is a family site, but one of the best things involved a box of Grape Nuts cereal. Ever eat that stuff? Hubby claims it's like eating a bowl of gravel...lol Most newly weds return to their home and expect to find the bed has been short-sheeted. Nope, that's too easy. When they opened up the covers they thought they were safe but come'on...they should have known us better.

We carefully pulled back the bottom sheet and sprinkled a generous amount of Grape Nuts on the mattress then ever so carefully replace the sheet and remade the bed as we found it. Ever tried sleeping on tiny crushed rocks??? turn And since we had more left we headed for the kitchen. We took cups and glasses that weren't clear and filled them with the Grape Nuts, held a piece of thick paper over the top very carefully, turned the cup upside down and set it on the shelf. Then carefully slipped out the paper. When the next person picked up the cup an avalanche of Grape Nuts flowed out across the counter and floor...hardwood floors! I think we were able to fill most every one in the cupboard.

Yep, we sure did have fun! And the next day we had NO idea who had done such a rotten thing. tongue tongue

Your turn! What pranks were YOU involved it?

When my husband and I got married, he pulled a cutie on me....he had all our guests in the 1st 2 rows put on the funny glasses with the big noses.....it was HILARIOUS!  During the Ceremony the Priest asked us to turn and face our guests and I was greeted with 30 people staring back at me looking goofy, it made for a very fun wedding!  He also wore a cap that said "kick me I'm getting married".  He still does funny stuff at the most serious moments 18 yrs later!

We put sardines on a couple's car engine. When they got down the road a few miles it stank! :))
That same couple we put shaving cream on their vinyl seats and sprinkled birdseed in it.:)

For my sister's wedding I poured birdseed on top of her head. She said it took forever to wash it out. :))

I had the "honor" of video taping a wedding and reception of some family friends. They asked me 3 times to do it before I said yes, then they made me promise 4 or 5 times to not do anything "silly" or "stupid" while video taping. This is what got the wheels turning since I view a wedding as a very sacred event and would never mess with the ceremony in any way.

I kept my word and taped the wedding and reception straight forth and convinced them to let me keep the tape to edit it. Add some music where there wasn't any, put in a title screen, make the scene transitions smooth etc. They thought that would be great so long as I made a copy of the tape to work from so they could take the original with them.

Well from that copy I, or rather I had a friend, make two tapes. One as promised with the music and all that and then a spoof tape. I had him change things around so the ceremony looked like Darth Vader was getting married to Chewbacca and the priest was the head priest from Planet of the Apes and so on and so forth. I gave them that tape in person and mailed them the real tape a day or so later.
