Over time I think it's amazing how many things we all have in common. Yet when it comes to medication we are so very different. If you spent more than an hour or two on the forum you have seen the characteristics of many of the members. We all have to deal with daily life while battling pain and frustration. So...do a bit of thinking and try to list 10 items that everyone on the forum has in common.

Since I don't want to hog the list I'm going to let all of you go first!
Have fun!

The first thing that I thought of when I read the question was that we all care. That sounds so ridulously simple, but it's true. I have met people that just don't care about others, only themselves. But here, on this site, everybody seems to really care about how the "other guy" feels. :-)

Believe in yourself.  Be kind to fellow humans and animals.  Take time to smell the flowers and the coffee.
And by all means, when you are down, ask me for help.  I will be there.

We are all beautiful people, trying to learn to live.
Degenerative Disk Disease, 3 deteriorated and 2 of those are also herniated in lumbar spine, also 2 herniated in C-spine. Psoriatic Arthritis, with the sholders, hands, left hip, and knees affected the most. Major anxiety and depression issues. Wishing I could learn to live with this.

I do think Jag and Lindaloo and Chart too covered just about of the the things that we all share. But isn't it funny we all live in different areas of the country, from New England to the North West  to the Southwest to the Mid West, and all points north and south of there to Florida in the South East! We are as diversified as can be, and yet how many people do you know personally that you can see most every day with the same or similar types of problem that you have? I have met a few people with herniated lumbar disk, not many but a few. I have not met anyone with Thorasic disk problems, nor anyone that has had a Cervical disk fusion!. I thought I was a real rarity, until I got here.  Heck over half the people here have that and most have more than just one fusion in their cervical spine, and quite a few more have lumbar and cervical fusions,  and pain pumps and spinal stimulators, and are on some pain meds I have never heard of! Everyone is so different and each of us has such a different story! But yet we have CP that binds us all and with that CP comes all those other qualities that makes everyone here so special. Every time I welcome someone new I tell them how caring and compassionate everyone is! and how we are all like family! And We Are! No matter how small a persons pain is or how terribly big and bad, everyone is alway Welcomed with open Loving arms. For me the Person who originated this fun Daily Coffee Klatch, is also the person who brought me to this site, and introduced me to this Compassionate Loving Family! I can never Thank her enough for that!

Has anyone read the book "THE GREATEST IS LOVE" it's short, on google it's written by Steve Zeisler. You don't have to read the whole book, Paragraphs,6,18,and 27 are very helpful to me.

One of the others is 'THE GREAT ROAD TO LOVE' . some times when I feel overwhelmed , I do so reading . This type of reading makes you think of alot of the above mentioned inspiring words .

     Sorry to pop in on your postl I kind of remember posting ///??? but it's a mystery to me. Some times when my ammonia levels rise I have a short term memmory lapse. I don't always post in the right,  let's just blame it all on cryptogenic liver disease and chronic pain from ,ostoarthritis,.degenerative arthritis, osteoperosis, degenerative disk disease.....Now theres a list that can go on for another 48 hours.

                                             june

what list are you referring to . ;'/////????  june

Ok, I came up with a few;

1. financial worries, 2. wondering what the future holds for us, 3. how to cope with our health issues, 4. finding out who your true friends are, 5. sharing, 6.  grieving over different kinds of losses, 7. we are very strong individuals, 8. always cheering each other on.

Its nearly 5:00 am and I am brain dead, have not been to bed yet, ugh. I am having computer problems, cannot start any new posts on the forum, only able to respond to a post.
