Screaming,
I take percocet and no, I don't get hiccups. I actually get them only rarely. If you're getting them a lot, maybe it's a sign of some acid reflux. Make sure you take them slowly, with enough water to wash them down.

You sure you wife didn't put something in your food last night? ;-) (Sorry, couldn't resist! LOL)

Hey PaLady!....good to hear from you. I do drink a ton of water and also take the acid reflux med everyday, and I still get these stupid Hickups. Its not everyday but more common than Im used to. It takes about 30min to get over them, and worries me that I may never stop. I had two candy bars for supper last night, so I played it safe. My wife and I are very much in love, just like two teenagers, and have been that way from day one. Truley...we are!...we hold hands in bed every night, and cuddle up tight, like its our last night here on earth. Have a great weekend to you all! We will see you all on Monday....to get a pain check from everyone! :) Be safe, and get some rest!

Awe, Screaming that's so sweet to hear about your marriage!

If the hiccups continue you, maybe you want to consult a GI specialist if you haven't already. I know if they go on a long time they can really put a strain on the body.

Hope you and your wife have a great weekend!

Hello All,

I have a REAL cure for Hiccups that works instantly, but you may need to do it each time you get them. Take a lemon wedge, squeeze it a little, and sprinkle some sugar on it. Then douse the lemon wedge with some Angostura Bitters (a non-alcoholic bitter ingredient for some alcohol drinks that can be found at supermarkets). Take the lemon wedge, bite it, suck the juices out, and swallow (It will be a little bitter!). INSTANTLY your hiccups will be gone. When I initially found out about this formulation from a waitress, I had hiccups for about the prior 8 hours. I was starting to feel sick and nauseous from them. When I swallowed the juices, the hiccips went bye bye IMMEDIATELY. I was stunned! THIS REALLY WORKS!

Funny,,,,,when the waitress asked the Bartender for the bottle of Angostura Bitters, he replied "Does one of your customers have Hiccups?".

Best of luck with this issue!

HadEnoughPain: As with most of us, I'm sure, I've searched for a cure for hiccoughs forever. While I don't get them often, they tend to stick around far too long for my pleasure.
(Although now mentioned, I haven't had them since I take the right medicine to keep my upper G.I. tract in order.)

Hi,

And I sure do hope your hiccups can be controlled. I rarely get them but when I do they hurt! With fibromyalgia though, it's not surprising. Sometimes I get curious on a subject and do some research so I went looking for hiccups and home remedies and sure enough, there was your remedy. Below are a couple of links I found...
