Hey everyone,

I have completed my third IV infusion of solumdedrol.  I am a bit better.  Whitebeard, you jinxed me!  I was so moody yesterday!  I know it was the steroids and that doesn't ususally happen to me.  Well I am more than half way through.  The delibitating vertigo that I usually get with a flare is back to my normal baseline ( I always have some vertigo due to lots of cerebellar brain damage).  My eye no longer hurts and It does seem to be getting some better.

I still have very little color vision and it is lots blurry.  But again, it seems a teeny bit better.  I plan on going back to work on Tuesday and my eye is on its own.  It may take months, it may never come back fully but I am ready to move on.  I will adjust to this and just pray that I am on hold for a while for getting new symptoms/damage.  Thanks everyone for your support.

This has been an icky ride and I am glad to be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Oh Gretchen
I do hope that you are alright! I don't like anything messing with my vision! I pray it all works out Ok for you! So I jinxked you huh? Big Smile! I do hope you get better! You know SolUMedrol is nothing but Prednisones liquid cousin in an IV bottle! Smile!!! Works about the same, and has all the same hang ups and side affects, but also like Prednisone it is a miracle drug, it fixes so many things!  It is that double edge sword "Good"&"Bad" that is so hard to deal with! Anyway Please!, Please!, Please!, take good care of yourself!

Gretchen,
I'm glad you're at least getting some improvement, even though it's slow. I will send good vibes your way that it keeps moving in the "heaing" direction.

Yay! I'm glad you're all done & feeling a little better, Gretchen! I hope your eye continues to improve & you regain most or all of the vision you have lost!! Hopefully the side effects of those nasty steroids go away soon, too. I'm keeping you in my thoughts & prayers.

hugs,
Skeye

   Dear Gretchen,

Happy Halloween! *warm huggs* It is so good to hear from you. I hope you got a chance to relax this evening. It sure has been busy here tonight  :-)

I hate knowing you were only able to get back a little of your eye sight so far. Do the steroids usually take a long time to work?  I hope it improves at least a little more by the time you go back to work. You ve always got so much to do, it doesnt seem fair to have to keep adding more damage to the list!!!! please know your in our hearts and prayers here.

*huggs*

Hi Gretchen, I'm so glad you're improving even if it is only a small improvement. Steroids take their toll, I'm in a bit of a haze from them still, can't sleep, plus I keep getting the steroid rush, heart palpitations etc. They work so well but I hate the side effects. How have you been? I can't imagine getting them by IV you'll be swimming in them!
Really hope you're ok and survive going back to work. Take it easy, don't push that body too hard after your flare.
Please look after yourself, golitho

Gretchen, I'm glad to hear of the improvement even slight. Every little bit counts. Hope you continue to get better day by day.
