EEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.
im having my ultrasound tomorrow, they are looking to see if my kidney moves.
they are doing this 'cus some people who have LPHS have been misdiagnosed, and really have hypermobile kidneys.
im hoping i do have a hypermobile kidney, IT CAN BE FIXED WITH AN OPERATION!
wow how amazing would that be.
i guess its too late to say not to get my hopes up. .

im really nervy tonight : ( i dont wanna be disapointed .

HOPE EVERYONES HAVING A PAINFREE DAY/NIGHT.
XOXO

Best of luck to you tomorrow Erin!
I will be hoping for the best outcome for you. It would be great if it turns out
to be something that can be fixed with a surgery.

Hi Babycakes,

Sorry to hear that there was a mix-up & your procedure got canceled. I've had that happen to me before. It's so frustrated, especially since you are not only physically but "mentally" prepared to go through the stress of the procedure. Hopefully they can reschedule it soon & you'll get some answers. Waiting is the worst part of anything!

hugs,
Skeye

Hi Babycakes! smilewinkgrin
How are you today?

Hope coping relativley well.
Its the unknown and waiting for outcomes that is so difficult, as most of the time we tend to think the worse.
Its sad to hear that you require more meds , and do hope that when you have your next appointmet something positive comes from it. It must be very difficult at your tender age, having to suffer from Pain and worry.
This must be also very difficult for your family ( Mum & Dad) .
But with the love, support and care from your family & wonderful boyfriend you will get through this.
Hang in there Babycakes.

Have a nice day

Hi Babycakes, smilewinkgrin

Yeah this twilight movies are really taking off, how was the movie?
Do you have the books?
Great to hear you are getting out and about, friends and lunch sound just great.
Try not to spend to much money! i know how hard that is with all those great summer clothes and bathers.
Plenty of sun where i live, i am around the corner from the beach 25 to 33 degrees the last week, but we get a cool sea breeze so its not as hot as inland and other major cities.
What colour was your hair before? its always nice to change your hair, I am a hairdresser and my daughter is always bugging me to cut and colour her hair, i really enjoy tranforming peoples hair, its amazing what a good hair clour and cut can do for you, also lifts you up!!!! My daughter is a beauty therapist, so i bug her in return for nails and make-up etc... wink

Ok  i got my x-rays back and saw my Dr, not good news at all, to be quite honest it has really made me feel down and out, but i will get over it and just have to cope as best as i can.

I have secondary degenarative disc disease, disc spaces are and have narrowed severly. also have formed osteophytes- abnormal bone growth on the spinal joints, axial rotation- twisting of the spine. Vertabrae T8, T9,T10,T11, have lateral wedging
In the lumbar spine there is also a curve to to the right in addition to the 45 degree angle to the left in the Thoracic.

I am now seeking the opinion & options of a Orthopeadic Surgeon, have been refered to a PT that specialised in Severe Scoloisis.
Patch is still not effective, my Dr said to leave the patch on for another 7 days and use Codeine ( Panadine Forte) , then after 7 days up the medication (Norspan Patch to a 20 mg). He said its all trial and error with the meds. If none of the above are effective in treating CP, he will then discuss what other meds may be of benifit and will seek advise from a PM Specialist.I explained to him that whilst i understand the meds need to be increased slowly, this is very difficult as i basically have to put up with the CP pain, until something works. My Dr made this following statement " at least the pain is not worse" i  am speechless.

Enough of my whinging, i just have to take oneday at a time, but that is so difficult when you are in Chronic Pain.

I will keep you posted.

Cheers from DownUnder

Whaaaa!!! I wanna go lay in the sun and feel it bake my skin. Just to feel the warmth on my face would be heaven. We've had nothing but drizzle and clouds here in Ohio for days and it is really setting off my arthritis, not to think of what it does for my moods.

Can I come live with you?????

Hiya Babycakes,

Hows things?
Been baking latley?
Eventually i will get the pain sorted out, but it all takes time trial and error with different meds etc.. a bloddy nightmare.
When i see the surgeon i will get some options, i have heard that complicated back surgery has not been succesful for many, this is what deeply concerns me. It would have to have a very good sucess rate for me to even consider it.
When i was 18, the orthopeadic surgeon gave me a 50/50 % and said worst case senario I could end up a quadraplegic.
But i suppose alot has changed since then, so i will see what the options are and go from there.
Lucky your hair worked out, because normally if you put brown over blonde you can end up kahki green Yiks! good to hear it worked out, if you ever need some hair tips let me know.

I have 4 kids - Khaila 22, Brandon 17, Peyton 9, Alex 6.
Alot of people say my daughter and i can pass for sisters, thats a pretty awesome comment! we are mother and daughter and best friends, we share so much together, and have simialr interests in Hair & Beauty.
She also does some modelling, being a grid girl for motorsport events etc...

22 degrees, just nice.
Living on the coast can get pretty windy during winter , but the sea breeze helps keep the temp a little more bearable in summer.
I to cant believe Rove has fiunished up, it was a great show loads of laughs.
Do you get the show Good News Week, that so so funny also similar to Rove.

No I havent got around to doing a facebook or myspace, but i will in the next couple of weeks.
I will drop you an email.

Hope all is well, how are you coping, when do you see the specialist.
How is your pain managment going?

Cheers

Hey Leisa!

Awh your daughter sounds like a babe! thanks phew. im so glad my hair didnt end up green. hahaha, it was bad enough having it ginga for a day.

havnt done any baking today, got the house to myself today. my boyfriends gone hunting, he thinks hes going to make me eat rabbit. LOL. no way.

aw im like that with my mum! BFFL! shes really good, every hospital stay and appointment shes there.
its really rare - alot of my friends cant talk to their mums about anything.

quadraplegic? wow . i hope things have changed, thats a huuge chance.
yeah, managing the pain is hard, its good when you find something that works though (:

nope we dont get good news week.
im seeing my gp tomorrow, have a list of things to ask her; trying to get a refeeral to the public kidney team, the private urologist seems to have given up.

did you say your son had autism?
hope your having a good weekend

Hi Babycakes,

Because your hair still had ginger - Gold tones that why it did not turn out gree, if you went bright orange and put Brown over it, you would of ended up with green hair, glad to hear that your hair all worked out, and your happy with it.

Yeah im not fond of rabbit, my hubby years ago used to go hunting , and like you i to would not eat any wildlife so to speak Yuk!
So great to hear that you have wonderful family support, its crucial.

Yeah not a chance i wanted to take as a teeneager thats for sure, but i to hope technology has change which im sure it has, but i am not prepared to go through surgery unless i have very good odds. i will see what the Ortho says, and go from there. It might be just PM for the rest of my life and other therapies, i will find out before xmas anyway. I have to travel 4 hours to Melb to see a reputable Surgeon.

How is you PM going? when is your next appointment.

I will have my fingers crossed and my thoughts are with you.
Good luck and its so terrible to hear that the med team has given up, hope you have better luck with the public team, keep us posted on your progress. Yeah my son has autism, but not profound. Socially he find things difficult, loud noise and needs strict routine to cope. you would never know he has Autisim unless he is placed into certain situations, suffers from alot of anxiety but this is related to his Autisim.
He also takes things literally, so no jokes. He is so talented and does multimedia wed designs, animation, and creats his own video games.
And loves motorbike riding, he won the Victorian Tittles 2 years ago.

Do you have any siblings?
Hope you are having a good day, and relaxing.
Cheers

Jag...you can come down here and stay with us for a while. lol. It's been almost as warm here as it has been for punchfit and babycakes there. I may not be real crazy about the people down here where I'm at now, but at least the warm weather has been nice since leaving the northwest. It's been a lifesaver to not hurt from the cold with as much stress as I had from the cross country move.

Hey Leisa,

wow, glad i was ginger afterall, rather that then green hah.
mm, he didnt find anything. thinks hes going to get me eating goat, deer things like that.
im veeery fussy with meat. it has to be very well done haha.

PM? whats that?
i see my general practitioner, just my normal doctor, she and i have a really good relationship. shes willing to look into not only medical options but alternatives too. she is continually hunting the internet high and low for new info.
then i see a urologist, kidney specialist/surgeon and thats it.

oh yup. a family friend he has aspergers (im not sure how its spelt) a type of autism and hes abit like that too. he keeps note of everything, makes lots of lists and is organised. hes not good with computers, but with building. some people have been very judgemental of him but he really is a good kid, hes only 17 too.

do you mean motocross? on the dirt? thats cool! i went quad biking a few weeks ago for my bday and it was tons of fun! i impressed everyone bigtime. not just a city girl after all ;)

my mum has two children, they technicaly are my half siblings but it dosnt make a difference to me.
i have a sister Sophie - shes 13, we are rly close. she once took a day off school to look after me.
and i have a brother Flynn whos 11. he and my boyfriend devin get on really well, they do gross boy things like trying to catch eels, shooting, cars and stuff.

my dad lives in wellington about 7hours away, and he has two children too. my other brother Jack is 16, and sister Tilly is also 13. shes really sweet - she dosnt get on with her mum at all so is always asking for advice witch is nice.

wow, sorry for a long as post !

keep me updated on the ortho appointment, hopefully they can see you soon!

Punchfit...Can I ask where you are? Just curious case I've been away from the boards the last month or so due to a major move and am outta the loop. I noticed that you were giving your temps in Celsius and mentioned Panadine Forte. My first guess is NZ cause I have friends there and they're the only ones that I've heard talk about panadine.

Gigantic apologies to you! I just read another post and found that you were in Aus. I know that it's a faux pas to call an aussie a kiwi and vice versa. LOL

Edited to include apologies

Hey Peircings,

Huh Huh (lol) dont apologies.
Panadine Forte is basically codeine.
I hae been using this for many years, and it just doesnt work for me anymore, i suppose i have become tolerant.

How are you today Piercings?
Hope all is well.

I just got back from my free thermal deep water spa, it was so nice I soaked for 1 1/2 hours i couldnt get out sooooooo nice.
The water is heated naturally and sits at 31-32 degrees so theraputic, i am all shrivelled up like a prune.
