I don't know about you but I need some rest and Saturday is THE day for it. I love to sleep in...not too late...but to get up when I feel like it. Then I do turn on our local PBS station because they have back to back quilting/sewing shows from 8 AM until after noon. I first check on hubby. He's either busy on his computer or is outside puttering with chores. So I fix myself some breakfast, take my morning meds, pile in my recliner and watch quilting shows. Ahhh, that's relaxing in my book.

What is your idea of a restful Saturday morning?

I usually do my house cleaning on Saturday morning but lately I have been doing it on either Friday or sometimes Sunday, Saturday I also watch PBS because I like the cooking shows! I especially like that Americas Test Kitchen after I see the show I go to the web site and down load the recipe! Anyway I like those cooking shows on Sat! and of course this Old House PBS is my Saturday TV station! Even if I am cleaning I leave it on so I can listen to it! Chutzie I like your life style! I will often get in my over sized recliner I have a Blue Leather recliner that was made for big big big guys! It is really beefed up and oh so comfortable! anyway I have a really fuzzy extra big throw, and since I keep the thermosstat at 66 or 67 the house is rather cold and I get into the recliner and put on the throw and sip my hot coffee, I have one of those cup warmer plates on the table next to the recliner and I sit an watch cooking programs and sip my coffee during my breaks from cleaning. ( my cleaning is mainly dusting and vacuuming) I do that once a week! sometimes more but rarely! It is just me so there is not much to clean! Anyway I am right there with you on how to spend Saturday mornings!

Saturday is different every other week. My husband works every other weekend so when he's home I do more but when he works I am lazy. That would be a lazy weekend this weekend. I enjoy sleeping and I clean a bit and usually end up in the kitchen cooking or baking something.

I love Saturdays!  That is my favorite day of the week.  I guess it has been this way since I was in school.  No work or school on Saturdays.  Even when I worked on Saturdays, it was still my favorite day of the week, because the kids were home.
Now I get up early and put on the tv while i get into my recliner with MY blanket.  I watch the Home Makeover show and find it very entertaining.  Then after a while I will make a pot of coffee and some breakfast.  After that, I will go out to the stores, or I will sew in my sewing room, or I will sit all day and watch movies on the satellite tv and the 60 inch tv screen.  Yeah I got it made!

Believe in yourself.  Be kind to fellow humans and animals.  Take time to smell the flowers and the coffee.
And by all means, when you are down, ask me for help.  I will be there.

It used to be that Saturdays were my day to be a bum. My workweek was Sun through Thurs. Friday was the day to get all the necessary stuff done while everything was still open for the business week. Then Saturday was the day to stay in bed with the BF and the cats and be lazy. If I was really ambitious I'd scoot down to the end of the bed and play on the 360 or maybe actually get all the way off the bed and go to the comp. LOL

Now that I'm not working full time and I'm still feeling like a stranger in a strange land, Sundays are now my day. With living in an area where I'm a heathen cause I don't go to church on Sundays, it's a great time to be able to get out and explore the area and have very little traffic. I just have to get off the roads by noon cause the church traffic here is bad. It's like living in the city and being stuck in rush hour. Hahahaha

Ahhhhhhhhhhh saturdays!!  My older brother comes over every saturday.  He lives over an hour away but comes to to see lil old me.  He gets to the house about 9 and usually I am up to greet him but if I havent slept, I sleep till he gets here.  Jayson is always up at 4 am ( he still gets up even though he is out of work)and he makes sure the dishes are all done, vacuums and straigtens up and has a pot of coffee for us(poor me).  I take a shower or if I bathe the night before I just hang out in my pj's and gab.  Then around 11 we go over to my mom's,she just lives in the senior housing right next door.
We yak some more with mom and find out all what she needs at the store and then Randy and go thrift store shopping for a couple hours and get all our goodies, hit the Dollar Store of course and then go the grocery store and shop for mom and go back to her house to clean her apartment and visit with her till 5 pm.  Then it's back home were Jayson meets me with more hot coffee and I tell him about my day and listen to what he's done and then watch tv and go to bed exhausted lol.  Jay is so much help to me, he knows I will be hurting and does everything, we cook dinner together and he cleans up!!!This is what we do except sometimes we hit the casino with Jay and gamble our day away and have lunch out.  Last week we both won enough for x-mas money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
