I am so so lucky that I've had a couple of people email me suggestions for Koffee Klatch topics. Today we're going to use one that Screaming Eagle from the Chronic Pain sent to me. It's such an obvious yet great topic!! So here we go...

How did you come up with your forum name? And if it looks like a 'regular' name is it real?

Sure, my mommy named me Chutz! eyes rolleyes OK, time for the truth. It's easy...Our beautiful Golden Retriever's name was Chutney...Chutz for short. She was our 'girl' and constant companion for 12 years. When I joined the forum I used it for her. Just that simple!

How about you??? Where did your forum name come from?

Mine is obviously not my given name. It comes from the number of holes that I have while are held open by metal - as well as the fact that I used to make holes in other people that we could fill with metal.

And to answer one of the most common questions that I get unless people have seen me....#1 No, I don't have any piercings that are stretched with spacers. #2 No, I don't have many that are publicly visible. And #3....17 total.

Bellybutton was not one that I ever had done. With not being a skinny girl, I didn't think that it would be something that would look flattering. Besides, I've always hated people playing with my bellybutton so the last thing I need is something to give people a reason to be touching it. lol

Pete trips> I always seem to be bumping into something, crashing, smashing and otherwise hurting myself. Also, it pertains to the many setbacks I've had healthwise. No it does NOT have anything to do w/ illegal drug use!!!!

I am very boring cathyinks- Cathy in Kansas- that's me!! I'm a bit of an open book and don't mind if folks know my name and the state I live in. I enjoy meeting new people and like to know where they are from and if you look at my handle that is me. I do think everything comes out with privey on it however and I have that name because I have an ileostomy and that is an outside pooper so I've named her "privey". I do sign everything Cathy however.

   Dear Chutz,

"Dani" is what I have been called since I was a little girl. But, my real name is Danielle. And Henson is my married name. :-)    Not so exciting like you guys..... I felt silly after I joined HW because I read an article by Mr. White that talked about "online annonymity", but by that point all of you knew my name, so... Maybe next time I will get exciting and think of a fun name blush

How did I come up with fatherjohn? Nine years ago I took several groups of teenagers to eastern Europe. I was the oldest person, I had my son with me and I am a pastor. The youth would often get homesick and they would get sent to me to help them through the homesickness. Many did not have a good father image. They started calling me fatherjohn as John is my first name. It played off the idea of a catholic priest. I still maintain my father image as I am still a pastor to many of our students at the school so it continues to stick. I have a sister who calls me fatherbrotherjohn but that is way too long so she usually calls me the Pope.

Koffeee Klatch is a daily fun thread started by Moderator Chutz, it has nothing to do with "Chronic Pain" OOPS in the Koffee Klatch the "P" word is not supposed to be used! This is an all fun distraction thread and Modrator Chutzie changes the topic everyday! So Welcome to the Healing Well Chronic Pain Forum and come join us with some fun in our Krazy Kofffee Klatch thread!

Hi AZrain!

And welcome to our Chronic Pain family! I'm sorry you need to be here but if you have chronic pain this is the best place for support and friendship.

I started out by calling our daily meeting the Daily Check-In but that sounded like you were required to check in each day when you came. So, a moderator from the Fibromyalgia forum (I post it there too) suggested Koffee Klatch. It's a very old fashion term that began somewhere around the late 1800's and means a social or casual gathering of people for coffee and conversation. When we changed the name it was a much better fit.

As White Beard said, it's a small amount of time each day where we can smile, reminisce, and enjoy the friendships we find here. But the only rule is we do NOT talk about pain...the 'P' word...lol Some days when we're so miserable it's hard to open our eyes it can help lighten our load by knowing we can join friends who truly care and uderstand and join in some fun.

Glad to see you here!
Chutz
