Hi all I am filling in for Chutzie for a few days, I think she is having a ThanksGiving Holiday break, or at least a break from the forum for a few days! I Think we will all miss her for these few days but there is no question she deserves the time, she does so much for this forum!

With that said I am doing the Koffee Klatch for the next few days, and since ThankGiving is coming up tomorrow I thought a Turkey Day theme would be appropriate! So since we all like food so much, and we are all from such different parts of the country, why not share with everyone what we are having for this ThanksGiving, and any special dish that you make especially for this day!

To start off with I am Roasting Turkey legs since it is just me this ThanksGiving and I like dark meat, I am having Turkey Legs and Turkey Bread dressing and Cranberry salad, I grind up oranges and fresh cranberries and chopped nuts and put it in cherry or cranberry jello, and pour it in a mold and let it set up in the frig! I am also going to have mashed taters, this year instant and gravy. A Traditional ThankGiving Day meal!

Now the question is what are YOU having this Thursday? Anyway body having something really different? Please Share with us all what your going to Dine on!

Hey White Beard!

May I answer before I leave??? Guess what? We're headed to the beach for the next 5 days. Hubby and I will be making a small turkey in the 5th wheel trailer. And some how the 2 of us will have to make it through a pumpkin pie I just baked tonight. I'm sure we're up to the task.

Thanks and I know everyone will have a blast with your topics?

WhiteBeard, I'm making a turkey breast it's only 3 pounds but enough for us..but for my pie
now my pie is a Blueberry pie from whole foods and it's loaded with blueberries and taste better than MRS Smith pies...
I'm also going to try to bake up my Orange cookies today....I'll Bake up the nestle toll house chocolate chip cookies, soon....
I find that if you sift half the flour from their recipe the cookies will rise better and not be so flat....

Whitebeard!  I want your recipe for your cranberry salad!!!  I also love dark meat.  I would love your thanksgiving feast!
Chutz!  Please have a wonderful, wonderful time at the beach.  I love that you do this.  Have lots of cuddle time with your hubby and let those ocean waves take all your stress an pain away.

My husband works so we will be eating late this year as he doesn't get off until 3:30. My original plan was to join him for lunch which the hospital where he works and I retired from put on a nice spread for the working employees. However....that isn't how it worked out. We have two daughters and both live in town the youngest one is going to her husband's grandma's house but the older one had no plans so...........I am cooking for her, her boyfriend and my granddaughter and our daughter's Godparents. She is doing Christmas so I guess it won't kill me to cook for T-day.

I'm making a ham, turkey breast, gravy, whipped tators (if I dared to serve instant they'd hang me up by my toes), turkey dressing (like my grandma used to make), green bean casserole, cranberry orange and nut salad, stuff celery, jellied cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and pecan pie. I am happy to report everything is done with the exception of cooking the meat and boiling the tators. I am pooped and hurt like a sonagun but know I will enjoy tomorrow a lot more having this big a jump on it. Tomorrow the kiddo is coming to help lift the heavy stuff in and out of the oven, and the Godmother is bringing the bread. The house smells really good and I wish tomorrow was already here!!!
