Picture if you will me sitting on the toilet late at night and in the dark and have my tweezers fall from my hand eyes (Lord only knows what they were doing there )I lean down to reach for them and loose my balance (with how dizzy I get these days) and manage fall forward to get stuck between the toilet and the door which was open and facing me.  I have my foot with my toes bent completed to the top of my foot and managed to hit the upper back of my head with a resounding crash into the door shocked    Jay was up the stairs in record time and managed to get me up and to the computer room.  I was wailing in pain and was sure that I did something to jar that clot in my head.  Oh and to make to just perfect....I got a horrible case of broncitis so everytime I give a good cough it makes my head hurt even more!!!

I dont know how I have become a disaster smhair    I know it has gotten totally worse since I got fibro about a year or so ago.  My body has almost every part hurt.  My foot is swollen and now I cant get my shoe on.  Thanksgiving was spent with Jay and I doing most of the cooking and my mom and daughter both showed up 2 hours late.  If it didnt mean so much to my grandkids I would have left the senior clubhouse after we we had halled everything there with my brother.  I can always count on my brother.  Jay was very helpful but being a bit of a baby and with my getting sick the day before Thanksgiving,I just couldnt take it anymore and found myself crying in the laundry room.  Everyone thought it was because I had a high fever and wasnt feeling good but besides being sick I just wanted once for everyone to get along and be on time. And having Jay bail early and I had to have the clubhouse cleaned and my mom walked home I felt like leaving everything in a pile and just go home and to bed. I was over there till 8 pm!!!  Soooooooo thats what my week has been like so far.  Well, theres always Christmas!!!!

Hugs,
Karen

P.S.  I have appealed everything there can be and sent letters off to congressman and even contacted that local news(they will get back to me)  so I havent given up with medicaid paying for surgery or any other charitable things.

Karen,
Oh, gosh, when it rains it pours and then some! I'm so sorry for your litltle tumble in the bathroom, and for all the insensitivity displayed by your relatives on Thanksgiving. Maybe this is a good time to read Chutz's Koffee Klatch for today and think about how to change future holiday traditions to make them easier for YOU.

Right now I'll just send a lot of hugs....wish I could do more!

((((((((((((Karen)))))))))))))

And good for you for making the contacts with your local politicians and the media. Don't give up if one reporter isn't interested. Sometimes you have to call a few, especially ones that you see doing similar stories on your local news.

Hugs are greatly appreciated Lady!!! I feel so bad that I dont post often and am not being supported of others but its so hard for me to type. I do watch the forums daily and think good thoughts for everyone. Lol and didnt to tell ya that also got smacked upside the head in that clubhouse doing dishs on Thanksgiving!! I had opened a cupboard in the upper shelf and was thinking it was the same size as mine and slammed it shut not thinking it bigger and hit my head I thought saw Santa!!! Man it made a huge crack sound and everyone was coming over to see if I was alright lol. I just shrugged it off. I hurt myself like that and then cant figure why the side of my head is bruised, a total clutze.

Wow QT what an event you shared. I am so sorry that you are experiencing so much pain and stress. I agree with Michael on the family stuff, we can pick our friends but our family......we just love them inspite of their lack of compassion sometimes. I can only hope and pray that things will get better for you especially your toes and bronchitis so you only have to deal with the things you usually do which is plenty w/out the other stuff. Take care and know that I care. Keep posting!!!

Hi Karen,

Oh honey, I am the queen of the falling bit. Remember I fell in October and broke my arm. I do totally understand. You know before being put on oxygen I was constantly falling. I was always hitting my head in  nearly every fall. I landed way too many times on ceramic tile. I do honestly feel I suffered a concussion more than one time. This would really coincide with memory problems I began having afterwards. There is a distinct sickening sound to that crack when you hit your skull on tile.

I am so very sorry that your Thansgiving was not one of the best.  Bronchitis and running a fever. Sorry, I would have sent everyone of them packing to a cafeteria. That or a frozen dinner. My health comes before any holiday or meal. Please take care of yourself.  Take it easy and get yourself well.  Bronchitis is a tough one to deal with.
