PAlady, you are always so missed. We love your input into this site, I am constantly amazed at your words of wisdom. I am not at all surprised when you're missing that so many are looking for you.

I hope you managed to get your percosets organised with your new doctor and get some sort of positive response about the testing you need for the Barretts, can you have it and pay off the test in small increments? Or is even that impossible on what you live on?

I hope you're missing because you are busy with Christmas plans but I'm letting you know you're never far from my thoughts either, golitho

Jag, WhiteBeard, Laurie, Skeye, ScreamingEagle, Char & Golitho,
Reading this has brought tears to my eyes! Thank you for missing me! I sure missed all of you!!!!

On Monday I awoke to find my telephone dead as a doornail AND no hot water! Since I'm on a dial up that means no internet. I also don't have a cell, so I felt really isolated, and had to go downtown and stand outside using a pay phone in the freezing cold to make a few calls! Needless to say I'm a little (or more) ticked at the phone company for taking FOUR DAYS to finally repair it.

I didn't even turn the computer on yesterday. It's been weird. You know, I could do without the phone (although I have a long list of calls to make - mostly medical stuff) but without being able to come here and get my e-mail I've been pulling my hair out!

So I'm back (until next time my phone goes out, which it usually does a couple of times during the winter) but it'll take awhile to catch up on posts. Plus I've got some Christmas stuff to do. I missed saying good-bye to my one cousin who left for Seattle on Wednesday because I couldn't catch them home, and my goddaughter and her husband are leaving for California on Monday (I think) so I'm going to try to get their small gifts and see them before they leave, so please understand if I'm not posting a lot. But I'll be around!

Thank you all!!!!

Hugs,

PaLady

I wish I could get you a Tracfone, it would not help your internet computer stuff but it would give you at least some way to call in an emergency, and there is no phone bills or any thing you just by the phone and they are cheap, and then card that give you usage and service time. I have two of them, I hate using the phone but I alway carry one with me in case of an emergency. If I used a cell phone enough I might get one with a service contract but I don't so this type does me fine! You might want to check their site out on the internet. You should not be without some time of phone service! I really mean this, I could even send it to you thru a mutual friend if you would rather, get it that way! But you really need to have one, especially in the winter and if you drive any place! Now you really do have me worried about you!

I am glad you are back on line!

White Beard,
You sound like my goddaughter! LOL I really do have to get around to applying for this phone you can get if your income is low enough that I think it like what you described. I just keep putting it off. It's free if you qualify and I think you get 60 minutes/month, but my list of forms to fill out and phone calls to make is so long that never gets to the top. Maybe while everyone's out of town for the holidays I'll see if they're still available!

But I missed HW more than I missed my phone! And I sure can't afford anything but a dial up connection right now.

Thanks for caring!

I'm glad to see you back too. Even if I don't post every day, I check in at least three or four times a day to make sure that everything is okay with all of you and if you aren't posting, I do get worried. I'm glad that you are okay. We have a similar phone thing through verizon here if you are disabled or low income , you can get the phone service and either pay minimal amounts of money or free , depending on which service you qualify for.

LOL! She has been found BUT for whatever reason now I keep getting bumped off! Maybe just too much Christmas shoppers, I don't know but if you don't see much of me it's because I got frustrated at rebooting over and over and over again!

Good to know you're ok. Is it the weather? Or just incompetance? Phone companies trying to save money by not keeping up their servicing? How frustrating for you. Good luck with the present shopping and catching up with your rellies (relatives in Ozzie speak) BIG HUGS, golitho

Treatment: PT, Tens Unit, Oxycodone, Diazepan, Hydrocodone-APAP, Tramadol, Voltaren/Duac gel

Also random hearing loss in both ears at age 18ish, not sure exactly when it happened or why. Got amazing Oticon hearing aids at 20, they've worked wonders! Keep hoping that my doctors can connect my ears to my shoulder and fix them both all at once!! A girl can dream, right?
