Well hello everyone!
It's been two weeks since my visit to the eye doc and my follow up apt was today. Yikes, there's a Hindenburg crossing my eye! The thing or lesion as the doc called it has gotten bigger even though I've I've used the drops 4 x a day religiously since my last visit. He was looking at it through one of those big magnifying machines and saying, it's so big, it's so high, it's so big, it's so high!!! Then, I still don't know what it is!!!

So, the good doc gave me two options> #1 - biopsy it now or #2 - go to the hospital next Weds. and have it removed and then biopsy the whole Hindenberg! He convinced me on #2 after he told me that he didn't think that it was going away anytime soon and when it does, it will leave a high lump or scare on my eyeball that would probably have to be removed anyway as it would no doubt bother me as it does now.

The girl took another digital photo of it and it has grown since the last picture. When I saw the blown up photo on her terminal, those words came to mind>> "Oh the Humanity!!"
Dadgumit it's an ugly heinus looking thing, all red, yellow & green!!! I asked for a copy of the photo and the girl abliged and made me one saying if she had one on her eye, she'd want a picture too!! It doesn't look the same looking at my eye w/ the naked eye!

I had called my loving Spousal Unit from the Doc's office since I was there for over two hours signing papers and getting the presurgery stuff done. Yes, I said surgery!! He has to try to pull eye tissue back over the holes and sew it up after he gouges it out of my eye! Sounds like a nice Christmas present, eh??

Then when I get home, my wife is looking at pictures of cancerous eyeballs on the internet. I showed her my picture and she started crying. So she shows me this picture of something very similar to my Hindenburg and it's name has a scars & noma in it and is a very bad cancer.

NO, I'm not going to jump the gun and get all upset and histerical!!! I've been here before and I'm still breathing!!! It's most likely not even the same thing and my Doc told me he has seen eye cancer before but nothing that looks like like what I have!!!

I have been sooooooo busy getting my Mom's house delivered and everything done so she can be here for Christmas!!!!!

So much had to be done and it isn't even finished yet!!! They haven't even delivered the steps yet!! Her movers are bringing all her belongings up on Tuesday and we are hoping to have the final inspection done by then, maybe!!! I still have to get the electric company out to move the wire to the house from the old meter/panel and my new one just came UPS today!!! The electrician the house company uses tried to sell me a homemade one but I opped to get one from one of my old conections from my old job! The only problem is the dumb inside salesman who used to make me crazy w/ all his mistakers sent it to his branch down in Broward Co. So I made him "overnight" it to me today at his expence!!! The septic guys were here today to and finished their $1,000 deal.

The cleaners will be here tomorrow I hope!!! Since Mom didn't want any carpet, they can clean w/ out electric!!! I told them I have a good generator if they have to have power!!

To add to the mess, one of Mom's cats is real sick! She has diabetes and urinary problems. Mom has already desided to have her put down after Christmas, how sad. She so loves those cats!!! Every time I talk to her (2~5 times a day) she ends up crying about her Ruthiecat.

Plus my musician brother Jumpin Johnny is coming from New Orleans w/ his wife who doesn't like me here and will probably have to stay in our house as the electric will probably not be on in Mom's yet!!! Oh the Humanity!!! At least the two Boys are not coming till the 28th & the 1st and will miss what will surely be quite an experiance!!!

I don't even know when they are coming because crazy bro is on one of those "Blue Cruises where a bunch of famous music guys and bands go out on these ships and play once or twice, get paid and cruise for free! Must be nice! Anyway, he doesn't answer his phone or e-mails I've been sending him!!! Mom's frealin out!!!

Then there's Lily, my wife's mare who colliced right after I got home this afternoon! The vet came and poor Lisa has been out there in the wind & rain ever since walking Lily around the pasture! I ran to the feed store before they closed and got the needed supplies for tonight!! I wish I could help her walk the mare but my back is still a mess and I can't walk very far!!! When it rains, well you know!

So as usual, Sorry for the huge vent but only all of Y'all would understand!!!

Hope everyone is OK and headed into the hollidays pain & problem free!!!

Love>Hugz & Kisses to all Y'all!!!

Peteyeman!!

PS> Keeping my chin up, what else can I do???

    Dear Pete,

Good evening *warm huggs* I hope somewhere, amongst the looooong list of things you need to get done, that you schedualed yourself a little "me time". You know, the bad word~~> RELAX!! hehe.

I am sorry to hear you ahve to go through an eye surgery. I agree option 2 would be the best way to go. I myself have undergone many eye surgeries and I cant stand them... humm... come think of it though I dont think I like ANY poking proding. Humm. BuT!! to the point!! Hopefully once it is done, it will be fully removed / repaird? Is there any chance that it will happen again? I ask because he said he doesnt know what it is? worrysome to say the least.

I am so sorry your mothers cat is ill. But, honestly I am glad she getting to the final stages of moving. It will be alot of worry off your shoulders ( and traveling too!). I just worry that you will over work yourself like you ALWAYS do. So remember the bad word~~> Relax!! As soon as you get a chance. Do you think she will be all settled in by the time the family gets together next month? I sure hope so. You will have to be sure to take a nice loong vacation with your beautiful wife once all the holiday chaos is over with :-)

I hope your wife is doing okay, btw. I cannot imagine the amount of worry and stress she is enduring right now. With so much on her plate aswell, it must be hard. You and your family are in our hearts and prayers here. Please stay safe, and warm *warm huggs*

Oh I'll get some rest some day. I think my biggest problem is I don't like to rest! It seems like such a waist of time. Someday I'll probably change my mind and buy a big rocking chair!!
Big Hugs comin right back atcha!!!

Thanks W.B.
But like you called it a thing is exactly what it be! It ain't nothin but a thang!!! I truly am not to worried about it. I just feel pretty bad that my wife is so upset. I hate making her stressed out even if it isn't my fault!

I kinda wished I didn't have to tell her but we keep no secrets here, only honasty, well from my end anyway and I have to believe hers too! After being together over 30 years, it's the only way to fly!

As most of you surely know, it makes me feel so guilty>> all that my physical and mental problems have put her through over the years! Amazingly she's still with me and I know it's not because of my strikingly handsome good looks or body of a Greek God!!!
Well maybe 30 years ago but not anymore ( an understatement)! I left that job to my two sons!!!

So don't wory about me my dear friend White Beard, I'll be around here at HWCP acting stupid for a long long time!
Manhugs to my Brother!

You said ("So don't wory about me my dear friend White Beard, I'll be around here at HWCP acting stupid for a long long time!") I sincerely hope that is true! But none of us are invincible, so please keep that in mind and take care of yourself, as only you know how truely fortunate you have been with everything that you have had happen to you! I can only guess at that, from stuff you have told us, but you are the one that really knows, and good fortune is not endless! So my friend I will still worry about you, smilewinkgrin your part of my family here! But YOU just take care of yourself.

Holy cow!  You are in my thoughts and prayers, Pete.  That sounds so awful!  Having anything wrong with my eyes or vision sorta freaks me out.  You sound so brave about all this!  I am so glad you are going to get this taken care of and find out what is going on.  I will be praying that this is not cancer and that it is something very treatable.  Please take good care.

Yikes! ((((((((Pete))))))))). I'm sorry that the eye is no better & that you have to have a biopsy done. Certainly sounds like no fun, especially around the holidays! I hope that everything turns out well --> keeping you in my prayers.

Oh Petey, so sorry to hear of your troubles. It must be scarey to have something wrong with your eyes. My thoughts are with you. I hope all will be taken care of soon for you. And please relax, it is so important to listen to your body. You only have one and you must take care of it and treat  it with respect.

Pete,
i hope I don't crash before I get to make this post. I'll make it quick - I am thinking about you and hope all goes well with the eye. Try to put as much other stuff on hold as you can. Or get help. Your health is first!

Follow White Beard's advice!!!

Pete,
I also hope the biopsy comes out a okay and not anything that you or your wife need to worry about. There are a lot of things it can be, so you are smart not to jump to the C word right away. Take care of yourself and listen to your eye surgeon and do exactly as he says.
And listen to everyone else who says that you must take care of yourself.......today , tomorrow and all of the days to come.

I found it!!!! This is the post I thought I lost!!!!! Happy Days!!!

Thank You one and all for comforting me in this hour of worry!!!
Dani, Thanks for giving me the chair idea!!! I never made a rocking chair before! I did make a rocking horse for my oldest son for Christmas back when he was really small and we were very broke and couldn't aford presents. It was made of ceadar w/ a main & tail made of an old fox wrap my wife's grandmother gave her. The saddle was from an old buckskin jacket of mine. I expect it's still in the attic of my house in S.E. Fla.

W.B. You are right as usual! This old cat has used up more lives than you can imajine and that does worry me sometimes! But I have to get silly about it and make myself sound invincable, but trust me, it's all talk! I guess I'm just the class clown although I think Mikey (Screaning Eagle) has dethroned me for that title! You are such a caring man and whats so special about this forum is people like You!! Thanks again my Brother!!!

Gretch, Oh you are such an angel! Thanks so much for your caring words, they do mean alot to me espesially the prayers!!! So far this nasty thing hasn't affected my eyesight, Thank God for that!!! Trust me Sister, I'm not the brave guy you are making me out to be!! Like I told W.B. just a silly man trying to keep upbeat w/ laughter!! PS> I pray for you too!!

Lil Sis Skeye, what can I say? You have been through sooooooo much w/ your eye problems, this little eyepimple I have is a one on scale of 100 where you at at 200!!!! Please enjoy your time off w/ your family and all the snow> YIKES!!! You are a special Angel who's always there for me!!! I can't thank you enough>>> now go out jump in the snow and make some snowangels!!!!!!

Suzane, Treat my body w/ respect? I don't have any choice anymore> LOL> I have to watch every step I take and be prepaired for someting in this old brokendown to giveout!!! I'm like an antique race car> I still have the horsepower but I'm afraid to use it!!
Thanks so much for posting!!! I'd be a lot less upbeat w/o the support of all my ANGELS!!!

PA, You are almost as silly as me!! You know me too well, I can't put anything on hold yet! After my procedure Weds, I'll have a patch on my eye and will have to slow down then! Hopefully my little Bro (the big showbiz singing star) will be here to help out w/ Mom!! Sometimes he gets a big head about his fame and I have to take him down a notch or two but most often he's not like that! Thanks for posting even w/ the trouble I know you're having w/ your puter I knew you would show up here on my post!! We can always count on you! You are such a special person and it shows here when you are missing for even a day, people start worrying!!! You are w/o a doubt the most loved and appreciated person here in our little family and we all love you for it!!!
Sorry to go and get all gushy on you PA, sometimes I can't help it!!

Sandi, I promiss I'll do exactly what the doc orders!!! I never had a problem w/ my eye before it's not like breaking a foot or neck or something, ya know? I know how to deal w/ those things!! Eyes are something that scares the heck out of everyone! I have a really good friend who went blind and the thought of it scares me more than anything else!!! I know I've been a bad boy in the past w/ followin doc's orders put this is different! T^hanks so much for caring and being one of my Angels!! Heck, I have more Angels than Charley ever did!!!

Love All of Y'all!!!

Pete,

We were supposed to get up to 16+ inches yesterday, but we ended up only getting THREE inches! That's not even worth calling a snow storm. I was so disappointed & mad at the weatherman! I think we were on the outer edge of the storm though, because other areas of the state got 20+ inches (and like 15 mi away they got 10 in). Usually we get the most snow in the state where I live, because we are so high up in altitude compared to everyone else & we actually get a little lake effect snow from the Great Lakes, even though they are far away.

Pete,
Awe, you sweet Italian boy, you! All those kind words! I made Anise cookies last night for my goddaughter, but sadly she couldn't stay long this morning. She was supposed to spend an hour with me while her daughter was at Sunday school but they let her daughter out early. Oh, well... just thought of you as another Italian who'd appreciate the traditional anise style!

Pete, take care of that eye! Play Pirate Pete for awhile and order your brother around! Shiver HIS timbers! LOL

And you have a great holiday!!!!

Skeye - yep, we didn't get any of that storm, but I'm thrilled as we had nearly 2 feet a couple of weeks ago, and I guess are due for another storm later this week (I think on Christmas Day). I hope it's not as bad as they're saying. I loved the predictions of the weather forecaster last night for Monday and Tuesday - between "2 and 8 inches"! LOL I mean that's a big difference!

Ok, hope to get this post off. That will make 2 in one sitting!!!!

Hugs,
