Well, I want to share some happy news with all of you! It doesn't have anything to do with pain (at least not for me smilewinkgrin !), but I am a grandma for the first time!! Evan Ryan was born yesterday morning at 11:35 - he weighed 7lb, 10 1/2oz, and he's 20 1/4" long. Oh, how I wish I could be there (they are in Ohio), but I guess a cell phone pic will have to do for now. Wow, I just don't feel 'old' enough to be a grandma! I miss my oldest sons so much - I just hope they know how much I love them.

Grandkids are Gods reward for not killing your own when they were teenagers.

Hope you get to enjoy them soon.

I always say if I knew grandparenting was so fun I'd skipped the parenting part!!! Our girls were really good though so we lucked out. And congratulations to you on your first grandbaby. We had our 1st grandson this fall and he is three months old now. Christmas shopping for a boy is sure different than shopping for a girl....

Thank you everyone! Jim1969, your comment made me laugh ( I, too, have a 'dark' sense of humor!). And you are so right - I have a 16 y/o son at home and I sometimes tell him, "I brought you into this world and I can take you out!" (Bill Cosby). Sometimes, when I feel like strangling him , he does something very sweet and my anger quickly disappears! Sadly, I wasn't able to joke like that with my two oldest sons. They were abducted by my ex-husband when they were just little boys and I didn't find them until they were in their teens. That is one of the reasons why this grandbaby is so very special to me and why I want to see him so, so much! Wow, I still can't believe I'm a grandma! shocked smile

I hope everyone has a wonderfully happy holiday!!

Congrats on becoming a grandma! I am so happy for you that you have this new blessing in your life...and that you have your older boys back in your life, too.

Splash congrats on being a new grandmother. I have a 4 yr old grandson and let me tell you, you have no idea what you are in for. I had no idea, nor my husband what this little bundle of energy could do for us. He is the very best thing that could have come into our lives, the joy this child gives this family is incredible. I do hope you can make a trip very soon to see him. Take care.

Felicitations! That's so wonderful. I hope you get the chance to spoil him soon, I know my grandma was always great about that. What a wonderful addition to your life, and right on time for the holidays!

Pain Issue: Sub-scapular bursitis, scapular dyskinesia, nerve damage down left arm, shoulder and neck
Treatment: PT, Tens Unit, Oxycodone, Diazepan, Hydrocodone-APAP, Tramadol, Voltaren/Duac gel

Also random hearing loss in both ears at age 18ish, not sure exactly when it happened or why. Got amazing Oticon hearing aids at 20, they've worked wonders! Keep hoping that my doctors can connect my ears to my shoulder and fix them both all at once!! A girl can dream, right?
