To All my Family here on H.W.C.P I'd like to wish everyone a Happy and pain free Christmas day! My Bro Johnny arived Weds. night in his frenchfry oil powered deisel powered Mercedes (He's kind of excentric like most musicians) and cooked us the 7 fish dinner last night on Christmas Eve. We actually went over the 7 but I lost count. To anyone who doesn't know about the 7 fish, it's an Italian tradition that we have followed since I can remember!
John is a goumet cook from New Oleans who has cooked for people all over the world! I can't even describe how good the 10+ course dinner was! Of course I ate way too much and feel like a cow this a.m. Mom hurt her back trying to do too much moving things around her new home and unpacking. She has prommised me she will NOT touch a thing today as a Christmas present to me! I guess I get my work ethic from her, 82 and still working her butt off!!!

MY WIFE GAVE ME AN EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVEN THOUGH WE WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO EXCHANGE GIFTS THIS YEAR. (Sorry hit cap locks by mistake!) A little female tiger kitty with perfectly simetrical white feet and chest. She has a short tail so she must have some manx blood or something but is the cutest little thing! A real lover already about 10 weeks old! She already gets along w/ Rose the wonderhound and Charley, my Mom's cat staying here w/ us. We hope to learn her about the birds (parots) while she's still young aand teach her not to eat her family!!!

After the big feast last night I paused for a moment to say a little prayer for all of Y'all that you weren't in pain and having a happy time like I was. Bless you all!

With Love and Big Yule Hugz,

Your Happy Brother,

Pete

Merry Christmas, Pete... Glad you had such a good Christmas Eve dinner w/ the family... Being part-Italian, I "should" know about the 7 fish dinner...but just learned of it recently (I heard it talked about on Food Network a couple of weeks back)... Sounds yummy!

I'm also happy to hear about your new little pet! She sounds adorable...too cute!

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas day, Pete. You deserve it!

Oh wow, Pete! What a great present! Did you name her yet?

Last year a friend of ours was given a puppy for Christmas from her kids. Well, they needed to hide the puppy somewhere until Christmas morning, so naturally it stayed overnight with us! It was so much fun. I was in charge of the puppy, so it was kind of like my Christmas present for a day. They named her Evie after Christmas Eve.

Ironically about 3 weeks later we spontaneously got her brother --> my dog -- my mom is really good friends with the breeder. It's a long story, but the puppy didn't have a home & the breeder offered it to my mom as a "loner puppy" & he ended up becoming my dog. He's been the BEST medicine for me.

Merry Christmas!

Wait Pete,

Is this a real tiger kitty?  You are scaring me, Pete.  Not suppose to have those, you know.  Anyway, Im glad you had a wonderful Christmas and I wish for you a Happiest of New Years too.

We have the tradition of La Noche Buena on Christmas Eve where we have roasted pork and black beans mixed with rice.  It is a delicious tradition of the Cubans.  We order the food every year from the Spanish market and we really love it.

God bless you my friend, Pete.  And bless your entire family as well.

Pete you will have to educate us about the 7 fish dinner. Lucky you having a chef in the family.

I had to laugh over the new member of the family being educated on not eating the feathered friends lol. What is kitty's name? I miss not having a cat, but with my 2 heathen dogs no way would I consider one.

Keep an eye on your Mom, hope its just a pulled muscle with her.

Pete,
Merry Christmas to you a day late. I've watched the food channel about the 7 fish dinners it sounds neat but I only eat fish if it doesn't taste like fish...lol

We have our two boys (cats) in the house, Tomas and Grayson. On every present I tag it with mom, dad and boys, or grammy, grampy and boys. They are such a part of our family that I include them on everything cept eating at the table and poopin and peeing in their box. What a nice gift!!

Thanks for all the great posts! Yes, the little huricane who has so far broken two lamps, torn down several curtains and smashed a couple other odds and ends has a name now>> Huricane Hanna! Little Hanna has really made herself at home now and isn't at all afraid of Rose our dog or Mom's cat Charley! She's a real wirlwind!

My Brother sadly left yesterday, he has a gig tonight and had to get back> The show must go on! He has promissed to get back to see us soon, I hope so, We are very close and w/ Mom here maybe he'll make an extra effort. Just so sorry he missed the boys. With none of his own, he has become very close to my boys which makes me very happy!

He is nominated for best accordian player of the year by the National Blues Society for playing on one of Cerrel Nevel's new songs I think? So if you are a member of the N. Blues Society or would like to join, please vote for him> Jumping Johnny.

Pete Jr. is coming in tomorrow night at 11:30pm! I will be wide awake at the airport and ready to scoop him up and bring him to the farm! I'm sure he and his brother will be going down south to our other house to stay w/ my friend Jack, All their friends live down there and I'm sure they will want to see them! Speaking of Jack, my friend who's staying in my house, he called yesterday and told me he had made me benafissiary of all he posesses. He took his inlaws off his will because they didn't even call him over Christmas, how sad for him!

All for now, I'm getting hungry, can't understand why after the last couple days but I am so it's oatmeal time! Bless all of Y'all and I hope everyone has a pain free week and an awsome New Year!!!
Love & Big Hugz,
Pete

I do like the name Hurricane Hanna sounds real fitting to the little feline. Oh, I do remember the days of kittys swinging from the curtains, pulling everything down. They were also real big on crawling up your leg, it was ok as long as you had jeans on but anything else those little claws got ya. Does your's see her shadow and nearly arch her back in to? Most of the kitty's walked around arched because of seeing their shadoww it was so funny. She will calm down eventually. lol. My daughter's cat had a litter on April Fools Day right in the middle of my bed. My son was very young and called me at work to tell me Snowball had her babies in my bed. I said sure, April Fool's day, lol. It was no joke she had them in my bed!!!
