Hey Gang,

You all know Peter has been working to get the problems  with the servers fixed here at the forum. Peter calls it growing pains, lol.

We do have a lot of new faces here at the forum and now is a good time to remind everyone that Peter asks that we keep our posts as short as possible. I gotta work on this one, lol. When we do lengthy posts we take up alot of room that is badly needed. Also if you want to start a new topic which we encourage everyone to do, please do not duplicate your "introduction info" as this takes up a lot of extra space too. We do need to keep our threads to no longer than 3 pages, if needed we can always start a volume 2 on the subject.

Lets all work together in helping Peter keep this forum up and running.

Happy New year Everyone!!!

Good thing you mentioned keeping posts short. I was getting ready to post a new novel called Bummed Out In Bremerton (Sleepless In Seattle was already used). tongue

No issues here. Once in a while things are slow loading but I don't know if it is the site or my connection since I am back with DSL after having cable based for so long. When it does seem to hang up just refreshing the page usually does the trick.

I didn't realize there was a limit on post sizes and thread lengths. I guess I should edit down what I write. Or post less frequently.

Amaristo you may post all you like, we just need to keep to keep our posts from being lengthy is all. No biggie. Usually if a thread is going to run over three pages we simply start a second volume. we just have to get a little creative at times. Because this site has grown so much if we write lots of long posts it can cause server problems. I am a lengthy poster at times and need to watch myself, lol. However, no one is being discouraged from posting at all.

Well, I'm still having problems. Only good thing is to learn I'm not alone! But I think a lot of us have forgotten there's a forum rule about lengthy posts and now we know why! I know I've violated it myself, but probably won't have to worry about that if I keep crashing or having trouble logging in! LOL

Anyway, Peter deserves all the help we can give him keeping this site up and running!

Thanks for letting us know, Susie. And I'll hope I can submit this before it disappears!

   Dear Susie,

I have not had any problems. Nor have I noticed any issues with posting.

I do, however, notice that some of the other forums have "intro" sticky threads (most are more than 2 pages long). Perhaps we might want to try "intro" here in Chronic Pain.

EDT : maybe we could close each "intro" when it reaches 2 to 3 pages.

Dani that may very well end up happening who knows. I know this place has just skyrocketed with new members in the past 7 yrs, I remember how many people were here in CP 7 yrs ago, not many, lol. Now look at us. Back then the crohns forum was the busiest and probably largest group. I just know HW has been a successful place thats for sure.

No problems here since a couple days ago.

Thanks Peter, Susie, and the other moderators for all that you do! HW has been a life-changer and live-saver for so many of us & has helped to form strong, lasting relationships. I am very thankful for this site and all that you do to keep it up and running!

I still can't figure out why I keep having problems, especially when I seem to be ok on other sites. It's taken me forever just to be able to post this without crashing (I hope!).

I miss everyone, but doesn't seem to be much I can do about it now. We'll see what happens with time.

I don't get kicked off but I do have to refresh often. Would it help with space if we didn't have so much info added to our signatures? Just wondering.
