Everyone is welcome to join the Koffee Klatch each day. It's a time when we forget about our misery and remind ourselves that we are good people with the same desires and needs as everyone else...including laughter. That's why at the Koffee Klatch we never use the 'P' word (psstt, that P is for p a i n!) <sshhhh>

So come join in whether this is your first post of your bazillionth... smhair

Today we have a selection of short questions to answer...answer all or any of them as you desire.

Who would you count on to…..

Make you smile?
Give the best advice?
Be your shoulder to cry on?
Do something silly with you?
Teach you the most?
Be the mother figure of your “group”?

OK, I'll take a try at this one...

Make me smile? Hubby
Give the best advice...is was my dad but hubby is my adviser now.
Be my shoulder to cry on? My puppy or kitty
Silly?? Me silly??? rolleyes tongue One of my girls
Teach me the most? most likely the grandkids but hubby's in the running also.
Be the mother figure in the group? Hmm, I seem to be 'it' for others since I'm the oldest and there's no one else for me...so I just go with it.

OK, everyone else's turn!! Have fun...

Chutzie this is really hard for me, as for most of these questions! Honestly I have no one here, (where I live) that at I can say I know well enough or am close enough to, that I could say they would be an answer to any of these questions!. And I have no family that is anywhere close. Or anybody that I can be with or count on to make me smile, give me advice, do silly stuff with, or to cry on their shoulder or any of those things! Right now I have no answers to these questions, except to say I honestly rely on this forum and the people here at this forum, for these things! It is not the same as having some one in person, but you guys are really all I have right now!

WB, it is a sad situation you are in. Maybe you should try a dating service like Match.com. I found my husband that way I have been with him for 3 yrs now. He cost me $13.95 (they were running a special).

Now for the coffe klatch questions!

My husband would cover most of the questions but for the mother figure since my mother passed away I'd have to say Irene. She was one of my clients when I worked home health. We've stayed close and she treats me like one of her daughters. My fat cat Russell doesn't mind if I cry or if I don't feel like talking. He's always there for me.

In the United States today, there is a pervasive tendency to treat children as adults, and adults as children. The options of children are thus steadily expanded, while those of adults are progressively constricted. The result is unruly children and childish adults. ~Thomas Szasz

Believe in yourself.  Be kind to fellow humans and animals.  Take time to smell the flowers and the coffee.
And by all means, when you are down, ask me for help.  I will be there.

Hmm this one makes me think! A lot of it depends on whether I'm at home or out at school. We'll go with home!

Make you smile? When I'm not wanting to punch him, my little brother. He's seventeen, and a total comedian.
Give the best advice? My mom, because she won't actually give you any. She's always made us figure it out on our own, or she's brutally honest.
Be your shoulder to cry on? My boyfriend, whether I get to actually cry on him or its over the phone or the computer.
Do something silly with you? Pretty much any of my close friends.
Teach you the most? My dad. If I end up like him, I'll have done just fine.
Be the mother figure of your “group”? I think its funny that so many of us say that we were the mother figures. I had friends invite me to stand if their parents couldn't make it to their prom, and often get gifts on mother's day :)
Pain Issue: Sub-scapular bursitis, scapular dyskinesia, nerve damage down left arm, shoulder and neck
Treatment: PT, Tens Unit, Oxycodone, Diazepan, Hydrocodone-APAP, Tramadol, Voltaren/Duac gel

Also random hearing loss in both ears at age 18ish, not sure exactly when it happened or why. Got amazing Oticon hearing aids at 20, they've worked wonders! Keep hoping that my doctors can connect my ears to my shoulder and fix them both all at once!! A girl can dream, right?
