If it's only 5:30 I'd wait a bit to see if the doctor calls you back. Also, remember I'm not a doctor so you need to follow your doc's advice here. I would make sure you're taking the tylenol regularly. Also, try to rest a bit. Do you have anything that soothes your stomach that you can eat or drink? Pain in the upper abdomen is probably in the area of your gallbladder.

Usually a fever gets higher in the evening (for a lot of people, not all) and if you go much higher and your doc hasn't called I'd definitely go to the ER - at least call them. If the pain continues to worsen you maybe should go there anyway. I remember the only time I was in an ambulance was for a bad gallbladder attack, but that was before I was diagnosed. Just keep the diet bland - very bland. Anything remotely spicy is sure to trigger an attack, but your gallbladder could be worsening anyway.

Does your doctor have an on-call phone number on his voice mail? If so, use it. If they just instruct to go to the ER, then you know if things don't let up that's where you need to head.

I took more meds for my gallbladder attack and took some ibuprofren . I will see if that works or keep it bay til tommorrow and I will call the dr back and make them realize the situation. maybe ibuprofren and tylenol will bring the fever down. If my fever spikes I will go to the er. Thanks for the advice.I just hope I sleep tonight . I was up all night last night . I hope you have a low pain night. Unfourtnely I have a husband that dont want to hear about my health problems .my fever is 101.9 now . I will keep you up to on the latest when I hear from the dr's. I have missed you pa lady.

Kimber,
I've missed everyone here, too! I just hope I can keep this machine in order.

If your fever is going up like that despite the tylenol, I would at least call the ER. I also know ibuprofen can be hard on the stomach. Make sure to take the tylenol round the clock (according to either your doc's instructions or the instructions on the bottle). I was thinking of suggesting adding ibuprofen, but didn't know if your stomach could take it. But you're at nearly 102 now and that's getting pretty high. You really may need to be seen. I hope your husband will at least drive you to the ER - or maybe you have a friend who will. Don't push this too far. Sometimes a nurse at the ER will talk with you (depends on the ER and the nurse) and tell you what to watch for and when to come in - and whether it's ok to wait until morning.

Take care of yourself!
