I have come up with several sayings we can put on the awareness ribbons we are going to do. There are quite a few so if we can narrow it down to the best 3-4 then we can do a poll on what's left. Hopefully we can decide by the first of the week and I can get the ribbons ordered.

Chronic Pain Awareness Suggestions Remember we can only get 3-4 words on a ribbon. Usually is't 2-3 on the front 'tail' and one on the back. Here's a link to the ones we did for the fibro forum. gallery.heyhubby.us/main.php?g2_itemId=2316

Thanks for the comments. Doesn't look as if we'll need to have a poll as the interest isn't here. I'll let you know when the ribbons are ready.

Chutzie,

Sorry it's taken so long for me to respond. It was a hectic week with school starting and all.
I like Chronic Pain Hurts as well.

Hi all...

Sorry if I was cranky last night. You know how pain interferes with your mind. I've been running on very short sleep since our new puppy came to live with us last Sunday. She's all love and wiggles but it still is like having a new baby in the house. ...lol

I have also gotten emails for the suggestion:

Chronic Pain Partners

The idea on that one is that we are supporting each other. And hopefully when someone sees our ribbon they ask "what does that mean"? or what's with the "Partners"? Then we can tell them about living with CP and if you choose you can tell them of Healing Well.

I can order some of each and then people can choose if they want. Either way I'm good to go.

Hugs,
Chutzie

Hi Suzane...

New Golden Retriever puppy. She'll be 9 weeks old tomorrow and she's our "wild child"...lol She's the Alpha out of the litter. She was picked for us by a friend/breeder/judge so our hopes are she'll end up in a show ring. I also hope to do some obedience work with her.

Chutz

ps...will email you more details. Also if anyone wants a link to her web site and pictures just let me know. If I put it here the 'bots' will pick it up and no telling what will happen.

   Dear Chutz,

I like "Chronic Pain Partners". First of all, we all know "pain hurts". Secondly the whole idea behind "awareness" ribbons it to bring awareness to our communities. I think it states just enough to know what we are about, but just enough to where someone might say, "Hey what is the meaning of your ribbon". Then in our own small communities we have set in motion what we all want. More awareness, more support.

I'm going to order the ribbons either tonight or tomorrow. Any other comments are appreciated. It usually takes a week or so for them to get here so we all have something fun to look forward to. When they come all anyone who wants a ribbon will need to do is email me their address and I'll send their ribbon out right away.

Great ideas. I like CP Partners too! I like being upbeat. All chronic illnesses hurt in some way or another.

Is he a little golden fluffy butterball? Don't you just love (rolling eyes back) new puppies. I'll bet he is just too cute.

Yes she is...and she's also earned the nickname of "Double Trouble"...lol She's a busy one but if I have hopes of her doing well in the show ring she has to have an UP attitude and be convinced she's the best!

Thanks again for all your time & effort on this project Chutzie!! I know that I can speak for everyone when I say we are all so grateful!

You must tell me more about your little fireball -- email me! I want to see pictures! I have three goldens at home. I've had goldens all my life. My 15 mo old is still a real puppy too. He's a real pistil. I love him to death. He in particular has helped me through so so much! The two girls are very very special to me as well & also help me a great deal, but this little boy is absolutely my soul mate!

Chutzie,
I haven't posted on this topic because I'm not that much into the awareness ribbons, but I think it's great that you're doing this for the forum members!

And I'm also following the puppy news.....and like Skeye, want to see pix! Did you share her name (other than double trouble! LOL) and I missed it; if not, you need to tell us!

Hugs and thanks for all you do here!

Thanks for the sweet comments. I've never been really 'into' the ribbon thing but I thought it was a way for us to connect in an animate way. I do love that button Dagger!...lol

The puppy's name is Cedar..like the tree. And like skeye's baby, she's a pistol also. Imagine the two of them in the same place and we could solve the energy crisis. I will spell out the website where her pictures are so you will have to hand enter it into your browser. I hate to put personal sites on the forum because the entire internet is constantly being combed for tidbits like email and url addresses. So...if you want to see pictures they are at...

http://www"dot" braidic "dot" com/puppies/cedar/puppy "dot" htm

Another way you can do it is to replace the word "dot" with a period and you have the regular address back. But this way the bots ain't gonna get my url and mess with it...hahahaaa...devil

Hugs,
Chutzie

OH, and I ordered the ribbons today. So in 8-10 days they should be here and ready to go out. If anyone wants to email me their address I will get the envelopes ready to stuff. I do not keep addresses! Once I have your envelope in the mail I delete it from my computer. So far I haven't had any problems with the fibro ribbons and the last think I want is for any of us to have more problems...that's the LAST thing we all need...

Cedar! What a pretty name. Did you get her from a breeder?
She is just precious! What a pretty face! I love the picture of her sprawled out on the floor sleeping! She looks like a little stuffed animal! I was just looking at baby pictures of Rory, Cricket, and Piper the other day & it is amazing how much of their personality and future looks that you can see in those first few pictures! I'll have to email you pictures of my guys in the morning -- I'm having a hard enough time writing this now. My eyes are too shot. I can go on for hours & hours about my dogs. I love them all to death; they make me whole.

Oh yes, I think Rory would have a lot of fun playing with Cedar! Besides his sisters, he's got a good friend who is a 7 mo yellow lab & they have so much fun together. My dogs are so spoiled! smilewinkgrin Too bad we live on opposite ends of the country!!

Enjoy your little ball of energy! At that age they just eat, sleep, play, and repeat! So cute! The first couple months are tough (especially during the winter, brrr) because you have to watch them like a hawk, but then it gets easier & you can enjoy them more. It is definitely easier raising a puppy when you already have another dog (or two) in the house to show them the ropes! But even so, puppies just seem to get into everything smilewinkgrin.
