I think it's time for all of us to do something nice just for ourselves! We more than deserve special treatment each and every day but we know how life goes... rolleyes So today do something that is just for you! This doesn't have to cost anything but may take some cooperation.

For example...When you fix your breakfast use the best dishes you own...what are we all saving them for?? We're plenty special to use them for us.

Or, take the longest shower or bath ever...until the hot water tank is totally used up. If you have kids then either ask someone to watch them or when your SO comes home have him/her watch them while you soak as long as you please.

Or, make yourself a special lunch! Maybe make a great dessert... smilewinkgrin Give yourself a great manicure. Have a wonderful nap today. If you enjoy a hobby then forget about the housework and cooking and just do something fun that you enjoy. If you like surfing then spend a couple of hours just playing online. Go to the mall and visit one of those high end stores where they give you a free make-up treatment in hopes you will buy stuff. Oh, and make sure to get a bunch of free samples before you thank them for their time. Choose something just for you today even if it's only for a short time. Maybe there is someone you'd love to call and visit with...go ahead.

As for me...this is harder than I thought but I think I'm going for the hobby deal. I want to spend a day just sewing but I get so bogged down with what everyone else needs and the housework, laundry, all know...that I end up spending about 30 minutes if I'm lucky. So, tomorrow is ME day and I'm going to sew.

What are you going to do for yourself today???

I just found a recipe that I would like to bake today for an Orange nut bread with a cream cheese/orange glaze. I can't eat very much but I really think it sounds good and I also want to knit and crochet today. Thanks for the suggestion Chutz today will be great!!!

It is funny that you made this thread for today! As I am already doing it, today is just a lazy day to do nothing, I am finally going to watch the NCIS show that I taped last Tuesday night and I am not going to do anything today but just lounge around! I have appointments tomorrow, but nothing today! I have been sitting here drinking my coffee, and doing the forum stuff and it is just about 11 AM and I am still in my hoodie and sleep pants and not dressed for the day! Might just stay that way too! smilewinkgrin Normally I am up and dressed and all ready for the day allot earlier, a whole lot earlier, but today, I just did not feel like doing that!

When I really want to do something for my self....I used to crawl on the Harley, of course with my Babe on the back, and head down the Highway....a long highway straight and scenic. One hand on the throttle and one hand on my babe's leg. Wahoo! The other thing I do for myself is to smoke something on the grill..and then share it with who ever wants to try it. It's very soothing to watch the blue wisp of smoke curl up into the air teasing the heck out of my nose! A little wine, and nature displaying her wealth. I can't discount the many friends that we have, and treasure every moment we spend with them. That is what life is all about to me...relationships...although we enjoy the material things in life if we are so lucky to have them, the relationships are the most important to me. Because of our Photography business, we had the pleasure to meet a ton of friends...children, parents, Directors, and coaches. We cant seem to go anywhere that we don't run into someone who knows us, and it is always on good note of appreciation. So, I guess the ultimate thing I can do for my self is to have a good one on one conversation or visit with a friend. We were truly blessed to have so many come into our lives. Sorry, if I got off track here, I tend to do that from time to time.

   Dear Chutz,
Thank you so much for the suggestion of a long over due "me" day! I had a great time making jewelry and trying new candy recipes!
