When someone is in the pleading mode as I was at 1:30 this morning and you seem to feel now, there doesn't seem to be anything anyone can physically do. Know that I am thinking of you, sending soft hugs and yes, prayers. (They work for me and I hope you are not offended by prayer). I hope today will be easier, less painful as the day goes on however, I am a realist and I know from my own experience that when someone gets to this level of pain, there is seldom anything anyone can do for you. I can let you know that I am thinking of you and hoping that it will settle down a little, enough to catch your breath. Have you done any breathing? Like...breathe in with the good, out with the bad and so on. Take deep breathes in and let out slowly. It's hard, but sometimes it works for me. Please let me/us know how your day is going. I really am worried for you. When the pain gets that bad, oh my...I feel for you. I'm thinking good thoughts your way.

Hi Mikel,

I can sure sympathize with you...I had a couple of days like that recently where even my hair hurt. There just wasn't a single place on my body that wasn't in agony.

Are you on medications at all? Can you work with your doctors to find any type of pain relief? I don't know much about your situation, but I do send you good thoughts and prayers for better days ahead.

Conditions: Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pelvic Pain, FAI, Reynauds, IBS, Surgical Adhesions, Ophthalmic Migraines

Other: Vitamin D, Multi-Vitamin

Mikel, have you contacted your physician about your pain levels. If not, I would advise that to be the first thing you do this morning. If your physician isn't working with you to control the situation you may need to start considering another doctor. Most of us have had to try many doctors before finding one that we feel comfortable with and that is willing to try everything possible to help with our specific situation.

Good Luck and make that call please. We are not doctors and can't give you the magic answer, only a physician can do that.

I empathize completely. Do you check your blood pressure when you are having that pain? I have high blood pressure but it gets insane when my pain levels are high. That would be sufficient enough for er treatment.

I myself avoid the er, but that is because they treat me like crap.
I hope you get some relief and yes, please talk to your dr. The pleading stage is dangerous, I hate being there, but when I am I do go to the er, even if they are crappy.

Straydog, I agree! Mikel, if you can please call your Dr, and get in there as soon as possible. Please don't wait too long, as that might bring on some complacations that could have been avoided. Take care!

I have to agree with everyone that's saying you need to get some better medical help, both for your pain and for some of your depression.

We are a great support group, and will continue to be here, but we can't be your doctor(s). I've seen you reporting some horrible nights too often, and it doesn't seem like it's going to get better by trying to ride it out on your own. I'm not sure all of the medical help you're getting now, but it's obviously not enough. I know firsthand it is not easy to stay in the fight for decent pain management, and a whole host of other things. But you need to keep fighting for yourself until you can at least get better relief. Most of us with CP never get complete relief, just manageable, but that involves doing all we can medically, and added to that treating our depression, and learning some ways to manage our thoughts so we can still find some life despite having pain. But your pain isn't close to being managed from the sounds of it.

Please, get some help. Call your doctor ASAP! And then lean on us for support, ok?

   Dear Mike,
Good evening *warm huggs* How are you doing tonight? Is your pain level still excruiating and a level 10? I hope not, but I fear that little has changed. Will you consider checking in with your doctor? Perhpas, there is something that can be done to make your nights more tolerable. I hope you will give it some thought. I hate knowing your evenings are filled with so much pain and exhaustion. If it getts to bad... perhaps the Urgent Care Center?
I wont pry any more. I know the last thing you need is more pressure added to the straing you are undoubetly under. Please, know that you are in our hearts and prayers here.

Thank you all who reached out to me this is one day's time out from my very difficult nite .Having a place to reach out when I needed to was a huge reason I was able to make thru to this point ,thank you so much .Your advice , your counsel and your caring came thru to me , thru the pain and suffering I was expierencing and allowed some time to pass and some reason to seek in .I am somewhat new to this pain it came on fast and was debilatating ,that is took my independance quickly . Iv'e never heard of the Urgent Care Center Dani , I'll look it up , thanks .I have to also get it that I can't overdue physical exertion as I pay for it dearly , I must reserve my energy for dressing , washing etc the basic survival skills , otherwise I have incredible soreness inaddition to the pain .I'm learning , my doctor is saying PAIN MGMT CLINIC .
