you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed... tongue So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.

(We sure do miss you Miss Chutz! We ALL hope your having fun!)

My question is : What is the BEST Valentine's dessert / treat? chocolates? cookies? Those delicious chocolate covered cherries?

I like truffles. Each year I make my husband a "box" of Valentine's goodies which almost always includes truffles rolled in chopped pecans. His family has a peacan grove in florida and that has been his favorite type of nut since he was little. So, what is your favorite desert?

Well Dani, My husband got the last "coldstone Valentine cake" and it was just grand, red velvet cake with chocolate ice cream that had strawberries and a chocolate gan (can't spell it) and I added some fresh strawberries to it and sweet Heaven, was simply wonderful. I would encourage all those who like chocolate to get this coldstone cake next year for their sweet hearts. It was the best.
Chocolates and Strawberries, yummy, yummy yummy...................................

Dani soft hugz to you hun, and hope that you and everyone here can get a low pain day.

Hello Dani! Thank you for hosting the Koffee Klatch today! Chutz would be proud of all the members who jumped in to help.

I love any kind of chocolate, but have to fight off the wife for them too! :) It's all good!

Truffles!!!!!!! Yum, that sounds so good. My favorite desert, well, that is a tough one, I like so many things. But we went to a party once where a lady made a cake called "better than sex cake". It was so good. It had many layers of different things, cherries, bananas, chocolate sauce and I even think some cherry sauce. But it had a crusty bottom that was really good. I just loved it.

Wonderful topic Dani. thanks for stepping in today!!! Oh yes, there was plenty of whipped cream on it. I ate bunches.

Hugs, Karen

Thanks Dani!

We went out for dinner on Saturday for an early birthday celebration for me & the restaurant gave everyone a little complementary "cup" of "chocolate wine." It was interesting. They presented it in this little chocolate thimble! The whole thing was edible!

But really, my favorite Valentine's treat is chocolate caramels from my favorite chocolate store. Mmmmmm. They are so yummy. They just melt in your mouth!

hugs,
Skeye

Thanks for all the members who have tried to keep this going while Chutz isn't available. Wonderful Job!!

Neither one of us here are into sweets very much anymore!! I would venture to say that hubby's favorite valentine treat may be a rib eye steak and mine would have to be a filet migon or prime rib. If a dessert is in the picture maybe something for him with dark chocolate and anything but chocolate for me...
