I have a simple question.  Do any of you know of any great (great raport, great bed side manner, all around great doc) PM docs in the Orlando (central FL) area?  I cannot seem to find a good one.  I really need one that will listen and help me.  I am so so so tired of bad docs.  I know no names can be given here so if you know of one please let me know and I will give you my email.  THank you so so so much.

Shaw I am going to move this back up to the top so more can see this. Yes, we can say our drs name on the forum it is not against the rules. It is the peron's preference on that one. I hope we have someone on here that can help. Pete's Trip is in Florida not sure if you are neighbors or not.

Thanks stray I do appreciate it.  I do currently have a doc who is doing procedures and managing my medication.  This is my second PM doc here in central FL.  I am simply not happy with what I have.  I get my medication and am offered procedures but I just feel as if my pm doc does not care.  It really hit me my last appt when the doc said to me we all have pain.  It was said in a manner that meant to me hey deal with it and dont be a wimp.  I dont expect to feel like that when I go to a doc.  This doc specializes in pain managment so please manage my pain and dont belittle me.  Thanks again and any PM doc recomendations in the Orlando central FL area would be awesome.

I hope you can find someone. Can you get online with your ins and see how many drs are on your plan and covered under them? Perhaps call and ask if he does procedures & gives meds, you know some only do procedures and no meds. Let us know what you come up with.

If you want to come all the way to Tampa, let me know and I can give you some names.  From Orlando it would probably be a 1 1/2 hour drive.

Just because you feel you might be in over your head, doesn't mean it has to be a disagreeable feeling. You may just live up to the moment.

Hi Shaw,
I moved up to Citrus Co. about 1~1/2hrs n.w. of Orlando last Summer and I'm having the same problem! I got tired of driving the 4 1/2hrs down to Palm Bch. Co. to see my pain Doc so tired one up here. The first thing the guy did was cut my medication! He didn't even ask what was bothering me or why I had come to see him! Then he wrote me a script and sent me on my way! I was so pissed! Talk about a pill pusher!

I am still looking for another doc myself and would be willing to drive to Orlando or Tampa if I knew it was going to be a real doctor!!! So yes Melyssa, if you know of a good one and not one who just writes scripts, I would be very interested and could drive down to Tampa, it's about an hour south of me.

Good luck Shaw, I know just how you feel!!!!

Thanks for posting!

Your Fla. Buddy,

Pete
