Hope all goes well with your appointment today.  Be honest with the doctor about how you've been feeling and that you need help with your pain control.  Also, don't be afraid to let him know how your mental state is at times.  It might help to write down any questions you have.

Let us know how it goes!

Well friends my doc says this , its not cellulitus because I've been on anti-biotics without it really helping in addition I don't have all th other symptoms and my leg was scanned for a blood clot and there is none ,It is not dermatalogical , there is no obvious reason for my condition mri shows a swollen leg but doesn't reveal a cause . The next course is I'm seeing a vascular specialist , it may be circulation . My leg actually felt better on the way to the appt , but Ifind myself in the hard position of not knowing why I feel the way I do . I'm trying to embrace the uncertainty ofmy health and of life , a tough job indeed .Accepting that my new job is trying to get better health wise and emotionally , I need to show I'm up to this , so I'll be asking for your help .Thanks in advance .

Hi Mike, I wanted to thank you for the kind welcome into the group.......being new to everyone, I wanted to ask if you have been tested for diabetes? Just a thought as to your possible swollen leg. I know first hand how HARD it is to embrace a chronic condition, and I've attempted to handle mine alone for years now......finding and asking for help is the BEST thing you can do for yourself emotionally. I wish I had realized this years ago! Please keep us posted on your next visit.

Looking for a miracle I think ~

Hi, Mikel,
I'm so glad you got to the doc, although wish you had an answer. But your statement about having to accept uncertainty not just with our health but with life is profound indeed. Easier said than done, this "acceptance" thing. Thank goodness we can help one another along this path.

Hey Mikel,
So glad you went to the doc and confirmed what it's not! Now let's get someone to confirm what it IS! That's the big one. I had an eventful appt. and I'll post it seperately, but I got a confirmation that was out of left field somewhere and idk, I'm just that much more confused by the whole pm thing! No cops today, the drug dealers musta gone home! LOL! Take care of you, let us know how you are and if we're up at the same time during the night, I'll meet you in chat if you're up to it. You really make a difference to me and the rest of us here. You are always so kind and welcoming. Thanks for all you do.

It sounds like it could be lymph glands not working properly? But as I'm not a dr I'm just going by friends with similar issues, as to the why I wouldn't hassard a guess.

You've really been put through he wringer Mikel, I sincerely hope you don't have to wait too long to see the vascular guy and get some answers soon.

Best wishes, golitho

Mikel,

Sorry you didn't get any answers, but I suppose that it is good to know what it is not! Hopefully your doctor(s) will be able to figure out what is going on soon. I know how hard it is not to have a diagnosis!!!

hugs,
Skeye
