I notice posts about spring and the hope of warmth ahead in the northern climes. Do you love spring? The flowers, blue sky and a breeze that's just beginning to feel warm on your face? Early blooming flowers and baby lambs and colts in the country fields? OK, maybe I'm getting a bit cheesy here but those are all things I see and feel in spring where we live.

So, what does spring bring to mind where YOU live? Are there special happenings in spring that make it extra special for you? In our area we have a lot of bulb farmers so since 1934 there's been a huge Daffodil Festival with a parade and lots of special events for a week in April. Problem this spring is our daffodils all bloomed a bit early! I hope they have a lot of them picked and stored in coolers. But this reflects my most loved part of spring...the flowers and their sweet fragrance. Have you ever smelled a daffodil? They're not a strong fragrance but they are lovely. The flower of spring are the loveliest, freshest and most welcome of the year.

What do you enjoy about spring where YOU live?

Being able to use my clothesline again makes me happy. Today will be the first time I will be able to hang my sheets outside to dry. The bed always smells & feels so good when the sheets were hung outside.

Also, just feeling the sun on my body makes me feel better and lifts my winter time blues away. It is still getting down into the 30's at night but soon I will be able to sit outside for my morning coffee. Can't wait!!!!!!!!

Spring means time for my husband to plant the garden and I get to watch it grow.

It also means hummingbirds (except that the dog ate my new feeder and all of the nectar yesterday).............and the boat seat, and the water sprinkler head......well perhaps spring means that the dog is happy with all the new "treats" she gets to eat and I get to enjoy the "show".

In all honesty, it means open windows with fresh air and fresh vegetables...yummmm...

Well the last couple of days it has been the mid to upper 60's and it might hit in the 70's today and tomorrow! I got out my blue jean shorts and my sport shirts and I am ready for spring! Went to my PM this morning for my refill and when I left it was in the upper 30's so I wore a light jacket ( it was a little cool on my legs, luckily I don't have much feeling in them!) but by noon it was close to 65! It is SPRING!!! The Sun is bright and there is Robins every where! That makes me extremely happy. I just hope the weather man is wrong because, rain showers on Saturday with a high only in the 40's and snow is predicted on Saturday night and Sunday! But you know it can't last!

Love Shorts, sneakers, and short sleeve shirts!
