Oh wow Abol, I'm so sorry you are in such pain! That just stinks!!! I deal with this every day. I even wrote a post a couple of days ago about how many other people have pain levels of 8-10, 24/7! I feel like I'm all alone when my pain is so intense and constant which happens all the time. I so hope that your level will go down. How often are you in this amount of pain? I cry most every day for hours at a time! I try to keep my kids from seeing me cry because it scares them. The little ones who live at home are 11 and 12 and they remember well the hospital trips they've had to make with us due to having no one to care for them. The day my colon ruptured, they were in the hospital from the time they got off the bus until my niece finally took them home with her at midnight. It was so hard of them and I don't know if you have any "little ones", but regardless, pain is a blow to any of those around us. I'm praying/thinking of you and really hope your pain eases a bit. Let us hear from you Abol, I'd really like to know how you are.

I am so sorry about this recent flare-up. Is it possible they are related to your shots. Have you checked to see what the side effects of the shots are? How many more do you need? I would definately tell youu doctor what is gonig on. May there is something other than the current medication you are receiving in injection form that you can take. Lets hopw this is just temporary. Have you ever experienced a flare-up like this before?

You definately need to cantact you doctor, no matter how you are feeling tomorroe so that you can get some answers. Don't just suffer in silence. There may be a definate solution to your pain.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi Cat and Stella Marie! Thank you for replying to my post. The pain is still with me today and I've been up since 5:20am because of it. I'm defo gonna take myself off to the dr's tomorrow. I have had flare's like this before but my pain meds have usually helped. Maybe my body is just used to them now and I need to change. My Mum (whom I live with) isn't being very sympathetic. She say's that my Methotrexate should be stopping all this as If it's my fault that it's not. My Rheumy had already said the pill form didn't work for me and i'm Only on week 2 of the injections and it takes roughly 6weeks to kick in. Cat, I don't have any children but I have a 4yr old niece and 5month old nephew whom I spend alot of time with and my sister doesn't like me showing my difficulties to my niece so it's hard. They were over this afternoon and despite all this I had to play in the garden with my niece and now it's so bad. I'll let you know how I go at the dr's tomorrow. Thanks again! X

Wow, that's awful, Abol! I'm so sorry that you're dealing with so much pain!

Relatives frequently don't understand what we go through, but it's got to be exceptionally hard when your own mum is unsympathetic! sad

I do hope that your doctor can help you with this flare-up!! Please let us know what happens!

Hi guys! I thought i'd give an update as promised. Saw Dr who spoke to Rheumy. I've been given liquid morphine. I have to take half a spoon first dose and then full spoon after If needed. Can take it every 4hrs 24/7. I have to go back weds because by then I will know how much I need and He can then give it to me in slow release tablet form. Rheumy has put me down for an apt as soon as one is available but If not got one after 3 more injections and pain still there I will be seen in emergency clinic. Lets hope i'll be on the up now.
