Kimber, I'm getting better little by little. There is a reason the Dr said it will be 8 weeks before I go back to work at the earliest. It takes time.

Today is about you though, and we wish you the best. You will do just fine.

Will be saying prayers for you tomorrow...

I would just rest in the afternoon tomorrow...take some pain medicine and just sleep away...this will let your body recoup faster after anesthesia..

And just remember..if you haven't had this type of laparoscopic procedure before...there is some air/gas pressure you will feel in your abdomen as well as can go up in the shoulders and head area...so this will be more of the uncomfortable feeling you get that next evening until all the air is finally gone from your body...

So no worries if you don't feel up to posting until Wed...just know that we are all excited about the end to your pain from all of this!!! What a blessing!!

kimber-
Along the lines of the gas in the abdomen, it really does help to walk if it starts to bother you too much. I had bad shoulder pains with the gallbladder and both Nissens and walking did help a bunch. I'm sure you will feel much better once that dang thing is out of there!

Take care,
Bill

Thanks snow bunny. Yeah I had a laproscopic procedure before to remove a big cysts from my ovary years ago . I am aware of the gas . It usually goes away within a day or 2 the gas pain. I have pre op this afternoon. Hubby is taking me this afternoon and he has tuesday and wed off so hopefully by thursday I can be moving around a little better. He is only 10 minutes away if I needed him. Thanks for the prayers.

Kimber,
I'll add my well-wishes, too! You will be so relieved - both psychologically and most importantly, physically (relieved of the pain!) when this is over. You're going to do fine and those gall bladder attacks will be history!
